Big tom was strutting around chasing 3-4 hens. We called over all the hens 1 by 1 until he couldn't take it and came to fight our full strutting tom decoy.

We picked away at them all over, got one right in the cut. A few different color stingers, nothing in particular worked over others. Same with the bay rats.

Got out and trolled east of Wrights landing from 630-noon. We ended up 6/9 with three good fish making it in the boat and one slammer making a giant run and popping off. We got fish on many different bay rats and 2 on stingers down 8' back 100' on riggers. Fun day on the water, tight lines.

Trolled from 7-11, hit one brown in 14' on bay rat lure. The fish ripped the rod into the water on a loose rod holder that wasn't properly put in during launching. Lost my rod and planar board, luckily a fellow fisherman snagged my board and called me (i put my number on all my boards). Kudos to these anglers for doing the right thing, very cool community out on the water. 

Landed a whitefish around 1030. Tough day on the water. Thanks again to the guys who found my board.

Mexico Bay 4/1

Got out around 3:30 and trolled both east and west until sunset. One brown in 8' back 100' on a board. He took a purple challenger. Was hoping for more action,but the first trip out onto the lake was a success with the boat running smoothly. Launch looked great with no ice and minimal debris. 

I live in central new york and am  interested in a 2017 hunting lease for deer, please let me know if you have anything available.

Not a walleye but hit this brown trolling rapalas in Oneida for walleye. Cool surprise, I've never hit a brown in Oneida before.

Just artificial plastics, I don't mess w the fish too much but id guess between 6-8 lbs

They're readily available and are worn when the boats moving! Great point

Yeah they were scattered, it took a lot of looking for individuals and trying to get them interested then moving and starting over again

We were jigging

Launched out of Deans Cove and the lake was glass all day. Fished from 8-3 and landed 8 lakers. Missed a lot of short grabs. Water temper were 39, found fish from 150-50 FOW.

Launched at 8AM out of Deans Cove, wind was bad from 8-11 but eventually the lake turned to almost glass. Jigged up 3 lakers all in great shape. Water temps were about 38.

I'll take a couple OR16 releases if you split the lot up

I've never used copper before and am not familiar with how to use it, I see guys talking about different numbers of colors. Can someone give me a basic rundown on how and when to use copper? Do you run it to a leader then to your bait, etc?

I highly recommend John as well, he'll teach you HOW to fish so you can go out and replicate it on your own time. Well worth the $
