  1. I have Erie insurance. They sub contract their boat insurance out to progressive. I'm paying 213 a year for full replacement value on 40k on water towing the works including 9,000 in added fishing equipment. I'm also under the age of 35. Hope that helps pap

  2. I know when we catch large trout in the streams sometimes we have to burp them and then we face them up stream and hold them till they swim away on their own. But I'm sure there are multiple right and wrong things to do in various situations. I only say that because the couple fly fishing and trout fishing boards I fallow have more drama than a sorority house full of girls in an all boys school.

  3. Been out one time pap. Took her to the western basin of Erie last month. She'll be making a debut performance on Lake Ontario next weekend weather permitting. She's as virgin as I am when it comes to the Great Lakes. Lol

That's great to hear!! It's nice to be able to bounce back and forth between the 2 lakes. I have a 22ft Sea Ray cuddy but she's heavy fiberglass, both have their pro's and cons, but so does life!! Nice ride I wish you the best, nothing beats brand new!!

Yeah. I had to think long and hard on it pap. My dad had a 21 foot fiberglass cuddy cabin when I was little. We live in Pittsburgh pa so tow ability was a must. We're about 5 hours from olcott 2 hours from walnut creek on Erie and 4 hours from port Clinton Ohio. Thank you for the best wishes. I'm really looking forward to giving my father back some of the joy he gave me as a kid. We both love big water fishing.

  4. Ryno23 I have braid for my divers. Just no lead or wire. Sorry for the confusion. I should have been more clear. As far as fish go I'm actually more interested in kings but I'm not sure how far I need to go to find them. If the lake cooperates I'd go as far as needed I suppose. But I'm also ok with catching whatever's hitting if anything that's within my reach with a 20 foot deep v

  5. Yeah good info is hard to come by. But I wanted to give it a ****. I'll be coming from Pittsburgh pa. So I was keeping an open mind to a couple different ports. Youngstown, ollcot, and oak orchard were the main 3 I was looking at. I've heard they were starting to see kings off the Niagara bar but it seems others have been running into one here and there elsewhere too. Ideally I'm just looking to get into fish and have a good chance of boating and fish. I've got spoons,Smithwick longs, flashers with hoochies. Planned on picking up some cowbells. I suppose I'm seeking some direction and tech ultimately.

  6. I'm a first time Lake Ontario fisherman. I got my first trolling boat of my own two months ago. I'm looking for any honest help in targeting lakers and kings. My father and I are headed up for 3 days weather pending of course. Thanks in advance for any viable info
