Way to go FD. That size of salmon on the grill are the best. Like you said, better than skunked.

Hopefully you find something you like at a reasonable price. Good Luck.

I own a Colorado pontoon boat that I use for casting for salmon once they start staging around the river mouths. It's very stable and all fits in my trunk. Trouble might be the 25 min to put together. Very comfortable to sit in and I bought a Minn Kota electric to help me move around. Not sure if you like going this route.

This is what the ramp at Bronte looked like 2 days ago.

As far as I know the boat launch is closed at Bronte

I'm usually located on a Lake O tributary chasing tail. Otherwise KW also.

All I want to do is basically go from shore out to Lake O maybe 100 meters out of the casters and fish there. Maybe move from one spot to another on the lake and come back to shore, no trolling for hours.

I recently purchased a Minn Kota trolling motor for my personal inflatable pontoon boat, need some advice on a marine motor that would help me power up this motor and recommendation on what size and brand people recommend. Greatly appreciated.

Those places are tricky to fish, have to time it just right, unlike the bigger tribs that have large river mouths like Port Hope an Bville. What I suggest you do if you really want to fish it, grab a pair of breathable waders and wade out as far as you can without drowning, and cast glow spoons out in the lake. You will get into some if the winds don't come off the lake, then you have rollers and you will get wet. If you get winds from the north or calm winds, you will get them. GL pal, hope you get into a few.

The salmon in the creek rely a lot on rain. No rain, the fish can't run up the creek. The creek mouth is so small, it need a lot of rain to raise the water level and therefore the fish can run up, for now they are still at the beach.

Beautiful brown guys. Well done, nice to hear he went back in the drink. Big fish like that is good to go back, nice colours too.
