If you have access to the gunnels back them with pt decking. I did this on a boat and it was really strong.
Did you put a deck plate on top of the gunwale?

Yes, I plan to move cleats, and have good access to the under belly of the gunwale.
Talked to Cannon tech support, they said a deck plate would be sufficient sandwiched between the top of gunwale and the Cannon tab lock downrigger base. I would most likely add something to the underside of gunwale, cause I like to overkill things.
Most likely only will run 4 and 6 lb weights

Any room for short set of trax?

Yes, but the gunwales are mighty thin. Would need a deck plate? This is all kinda new to me

Ok guys, I have couple questions, and would appreciate some feedback. I have a 16 foot boat, 72 inch beam. Trying to decide if it would be better to get Eagle Feet and run a 2x6 across the back, or just go with a small rigger or two. I was looking at the Cannon Lake Troll.
I would like to place a rigger behind the rid holder box, but worried about the rigger pulling out. I know Cannon makes a deck plate, but would that be enough support? I could put a plate on both sides of the gunwale.
Or do guys that have the Eagle Feet like how sturdy they are?
Thanks

I would just go try it vs. sitting behind a keyboard

Lakers prefer 48-53 degree water....it's even too cold for them!
Doesn't stop them from biting in cooler water

Sounds like more of a trolling lineup
They are stickbaits. Of course they can be trolled or casted.

I'd try some F9 and F11 Raps, or Bay Rats, S3 and/or Short Shallows

West of there over near the tour boat etc.. You'll see it once you get over that way Aaron.
Can you walk out onto the rock jetty and fish?

Try Brunswick Corp directly. I have a 1996 Fisher 160SC, which is basically a Lowe, which is part of Brunswick

I m only 31, but when I started hunting at age 12, nobody talked about coyotes, fishers and bobcats. I have seen all 3 species in Clarion County since.
Course back when I was 12, PA still had county doe tag system, 3 day doe season and no antler restrictions. Tons of deer too.

How did you attach the board for the riggers.

Very Interested in the whole lot or just the tadpoles if they are still for sale.

Pymy has fished slow all year. Its the new dead sea...taking over for Lake Wilhelm. As for the carp tested positive for the Koi Herpes Virus. This lake is WAY over carry capacity of carp, so other than the stench, it might not be a bad thing

Lots of options at that price point with the big 3...Humminbird, Lowrance and Garmin
I hear a lot of good things about Lowrance Elite-9 TI, and its about $850
