Thank you for all the help everyone. We went out Saturday very early and it was pretty rough out there for an 18ft'er. Looked like no charters went out, only one other boat we saw all day . Starter trolling at 60ft and went to 220Fow. Nothing. Came back towards shore and picked up 3 fish in 55 to 90 FOW riggers set to 35ft. NK silver spoon with green stripe took all 3 fish. Flashers were dead all day. All bait pods we found were in sub 100ft of water. Off the water by 11, had enough of the waves.

Heading out of Wright’s landing tomorrow for our first trip for King’s this year. Me and my buddy have only fished for King’s in late August into September. I was wondering what depth we should start at this early in the year?  Don’t want anyone’s secret spot just some advice.

I get all my jig piece from lure parts online. Great selection and bulk is much cheaper in the long run. They have a custom big selection you can make your own as well

Is there someone at the gate on the way in lije there is during the summer time? I only have launched in July/August . I should be there by 530 or 6 and wanted to know if there is anything different I have to do. Much appreciated.

Went out of Selkirk launch this morning, ice glazed over at the launch and very low water level. On the water by 8am, water temp 35 to 37 degrees, went 8 for 9 with a few dinks. UV green and orange tiger thundersticks did the most damage. Minimal spoon bite, everything caught was way outside in the spread. Most were caught in 9 to 13 FOW on the widest spread. Going south they seemed to get bigger.
