  2. imageproxy.php?img=&key=7e961de8267f286a Fished from 8am to noon gorgeous morning on Lady O. First trip out of Sandy Creek water temp 37-40 degrees. Trolled from the mouth to the park and back to the mouth of Sandy, 16 Browns came to the net today running a 6 rod spread 2.3-2.4 mph was ourimageproxy.php?img=&key=7e961de8267f286a best speed. J11 Orange and gold worked and mixed veggies super slim spoon on riggers. By far the  BAY RATs in the S3 size pulled behind some OR-12 boards were on fire today! Can’t afford it,My Secret worked very well but by far the MVP of the day was a color I had made up last year never got around to testing till today what I call the “Tricky Ricky” James Barnes and the awesome folks at Bay Rat helped me design and paint up a great lure! Proved to be a winner today on Ole Lady O

  3. Would be interesting to see more info on people’s small boat setups and ideas. We joke on the boat about getting shirts made up that say “1foot or less” LoL... but all kidding aside I have 30+years on Lady O and I check double check the lake O marine forecast before every trip we don’t even think about going if it looks bumpy  or could get bumpy.

Headed North out of the Genny Sat534F306A-25C3-4BB0-BB61-A95DAC794FBE.thumb.jpeg.bb34aa74b97aae33b5a1d1d4e6065eeb.jpegurday  6/9/18 in the 15’ Sylvan with my co worker and set up in 100fow amongst a few Charter boats.  On a North troll this time the depth finder was working correctly.  The screen looked great as me made our way out to 200fow our program that worked  was  riggers at 50’and 60’ with spoons   we ended up 4 for 4  with a double on kings to finish up the morning fishing from 7am -11am was another beautiful day on Lady O

  5. 3 hours ago, Silver Fox said:

Eddy was a good dude. I also mated for him some times. I think we used the same silver bullets and watermelon NK 28's all year...lol

Sent from my SM-N950U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

The ones with the most teeth marks were usually the best LoL. I still have a few of his favorite lures and on occasion I still use his custom made rods with the diawa 47h.

  6. Thankyou! I’ve been on the lake sense I was 3yrs old fishing with my father and first mate for my grandfather Ed Patt in his Boat “Brushcut Charters” He started with a small boat and worked his way up to a 26’ penny. But that being said  I totally agree sometimes less is more and makes it more rewarding especially with limited technology. Maybe we can get something going here on LOU topic  with guys and gals using smaller boat setups and there fails and success I think would help out a ton with new people and our season veterans. Thanks again for the kind words tight lines and best of luck to everyone.

  7. Setup with my coworker and his brother first time ever for them out of the Genny in a 15’ slyvan at 6:30am. Morning was picture perfect! Depth finder was only giving me surface temp and speed but we made the best of it as we cruised out with the 9.9 honda wide open at 8mph LoL. We nestled in the pack of beautiful charter boats and began our North East troll. Riggers set at 35 and 40, copper at 250 also a 3 color and 5 color on the OR 12 boards. Made one loop towards Ibay and back to the Genny no clue what water depth and ended up 11 for 11. Kept our 3 man limit by 10am  and released the rest. Couldn’t have asked for a better start to the Memorial Day weekend God bless all to those that  served and still serve for our freedom. We truly are blessed to live in a world class fishery in the Rochester area.

  8. Awesome first ever  Trip out on Lake Ontario   for my two sons 5yrs and 7yrs old. We headed out of I Bay and went west to the Genny great surface temp 52 to 55 degrees and beautiful colored green water. Made the turn to go back to the bay 80 foot of water and all Hell broke loose!!! Rods were popping!!! 3 color, slide divers on wire back 50’ and out 40,50’ riggers 25’ down everything was taking shots! Ended up 3 for 12 in under 2hrs of total fishing time this included a safety check from the Coast Gurad as we were setting up. Was a awesome trip one my self and my boys will never forget. Let’s all pray that Lady O stays alive a well for many years and Generations to come. :) (PFDs were worn under the children’s sweat shirts little chill on the water with the breeze)
