I’d call Minn Kota. They are pretty helpful.

The fish have been real shallow. We have been slamming them in like 6 feet of water on the west side of Cayuga north end. Anywhere south of Red Jacket to the point is loaded. We just go dock to dock. A lot of small ones, but you could fill a bucket with 11 inchers if you gave it a couple of hours.

Had to show some stream fishermen what a lake trout was on Saturday (5/4). Foggy as hell. Could hardly tell where we were going. Everyone caught a few fish though. Every fish bit on green. Had a spin doctor and a fly do most of the damage, but also found action on some green spoons. Fishing 90-120 fow 50-75 ft down. Got 6 good lakers in the boat with this 10 pounder. This was our first time of the year.

Cayuga Jigging Reports

We have been catching slobs on the north end for the past few weeks. Every fish is 8-10 lbs. We caught our fish jigging 30 to 50 ft of water. I usually go out in the evening around 7 and we have been consistently getting these big lakers.
