Heading up to the St Lawrence near Ogdensburg this upcoming weekend to target walleye for the first time. Fished for walleye on our local lakes but only have used a worm harness and I've heard trolling plugs is better on the river this time of year. Looking for any pointers you fishermen are willing to give up. Not looking for anyone's honey hole. What depth are people catching walleye in this time of year? Specific color which works best? Mono line? Trolling rod needed with inline weights to get down to the fish?
