I am reaching out to learn if I can use the existing AP 12 helm with any newer autopilot systems as the AP 12 is no longer serviced. My unit works but wanders more than I like and wanted to get a tighter running system. The steering head works perfectly, looks just like the "Octopus" helms and it certainly would be cheaper than having to buy a new one. Any suggestions / advice would be great. Thanks

I have a complete Navico / Simrad AP12R set up that I'm looking to sell. It works but will not compass calibrate correctly and runs a sloppy course. The dash control works fine, all LEDs work. Comes with Compass, Steering helm for cable steering and dash control. If interested let me know. Best offer.
