Thank you very much. The mouth of Stony was one of the spots I was considering, but like you said it’s all about having safe ice. I do well on browns and steelhead from now through spring on the centerpin in the Stony, I’ve got to believe if you could get on the ice, there’s plenty of fresh fish coming into the creek.

Hello friends. I was fortunate enough to live on west shore of Lake Michigan for a few years (2019-2022) and the ice fishing for browns/steelheads was phenomenal especially around Milwaukee area. Finally moved back home to raise the family 3hrs south of Henderson but up in that area all the time pulling spoons or pinning in the tribs. My 6yr old is fascinated with ice fishing and I’m just wondering if this area has a similar fishery for the trout through the ice like I’ve experienced in the Midwest. We love smallie, perch, and walleye fishing, but He’s hooked on the salmonids (like his dad!) and I’m looking for generic advice. Thanks in advance!
