Well, thanks for all of the encouraging words! Went out this morning at 5am and prerigged everything last night and had a strict plan and stuck to it. Mexico Bay was like glass and I finally had a wonderful morning, hooked up to a beautiful king, but lost him at the boat. Got him on white/glow flies at 75 feet. Had to get off the water at 8 so even hooking up to that one and losing him it was a huge improvement over Saturday morning. Ill be back up in a few weeks to keep improving!

I learned a lot thing morning as it was my first time on Lake Ontario trolling for salmon. I was fishing solo and was out of the inlet at 515am and headed to 180' foot of water. Saw a bunch of fish in the 145' range, but decided to keep going deeper. Learned not to do that because I didn't mark anything at 180' to 200' of water. Weather report said it was gonna be great out, but turned into light rain, wind, and 4' swells in my 18' Alumacraft tiller hahaha. Learned something from that. I also learned to have a strict fishing plan, and stick to it. I asked all of you for advice and you gave me advice, but I only used half of it. I learned to check my lines often; today the fleas were really bad and I should of been checking them. I also learned not to rush and to really think about what I was doing. I made so many mistakes today because I just wanted lines in the water. Tomorrow will be a lot better with a bit more knowledge than I had this morning.

First, thank you for reading and providing any help you could. Ill be launching out of Pulaski on Friday, July 10 through July 12 and traveling 2 to 3 miles offshore to troll for salmon. Ill be leaving the dock at dark and plan on running the first sets in and above thermocline. My question is, should I start with spoons or flasher flies? Ill be alone and could only legally fish 3 lines. Ill be running 2 dipsys and one down rigger. I was gonna run a carbon 14 under the rigger and flasher flies (glow) on the dipsys first thing and then switch to meat rigs later on. Would any of you suggest otherwise? If the thermocline isnt setup by next Friday, ill try running at depths where I see bait. Thanks again.
