  1. Thanks meat was pale but not terribly mushy. Making jerky / candy out of it
  2. Is this too far along to try and eat?
  3. Thank you for the insight. Any reccomended lure/ bait presentations?
  4. What set ups works well for kings this part of the season? trolling eastern basin with 1 rigger (Henderson/stony point area). Thought about stacking lines and then running a Dipsy, copper or Ledcore on the other side. I've seen quite a few options for presenting where the fish are. Trying to hit it before they run up the tributaries. this is for a relatively smaller sized personal watercraft. appreciate the recommendations. First year getting out there.
  5. Awesome, thank you for the advice. I was going to try a tube jig as well, as I've heard those can be good to. Appreciate the advice.
  6. What is your set up for that? I may try that on Seneca
  7. Heck ya, next time I'm in Rochester I will stop by. Thanks
  8. Yes I have heard of these and I like the idea. Thank you
  9. Thank you!! I have a mag diver with a ring.. should I remove that ring to avoid losing it? I would have to let probably close to 300 feet out on zero setting to get close to 120-140, don't have a probe or smart troll yet. Haven't had a Dipsy touch the bottom yet, but will give it a whirl.
  10. Thank you !! I'm pretty sure I am using a hammerhead cowbell with a spin n glo. Can I find a gambler rig at fat Nancy's or Sonny's? This will be for Lake Ontario, and finger lakes. Does the shape of the weight matter?
  11. I have one manual Downrigger. Don't have room on the other side. what are my options outside a rigger that can get my lures down to 120-140 feet? I have a wire rod and another mono rod. i want to run cowbells because I've had success with the one rigger. Should I use a three way swivel? Bottom bouncing weights? can I get a reccomendation on best practice for my options on how to functionally get that lure down? Looking for recommendations on lures, weights, rods, lines, etc. I appreciate the advice!
  12. What's the best probe for keeping my set up simple? I don't want to mount a fish hawk or another display, would rather use an app on my phone. Is it possible to run a probe on a downrigger sending the data straight to your phone? Is there a way to hook it up to a Garmin that I already use? I've seen smart troll, fish hawk, and Scotty seeker. What are people recommending? For frame of reference this is for a 17 foot personal use boat.
