  1. Edd I have used roemers here in Mass for 15 years they are great releases but when fishing down over 100 feet for Kings on Lake Ontario I always had problems with false releases and you can troll smaller fish for a while with out seeing the rods shake. using blacks with rubber bands worked very well great hook sets also. But using the Chamberlain releases last year I liked them a lot so I will give them another shot this year and see what happens.

  2. It's hard to belive that some complain that we share info on this site :lipssealed: I thought this was fishing site for info and stuff  WoW I hate getting OLD :beer: But thanks for the info any ways :clap:

  3. Chowder The chamberlains are simple there are 2 adjustments one for the lure pull and one for the rod.For kings I have them set on the tightest setting and the rod adjustment you have to play with it a little so you know what works for you. It is a screw like they have on blacks. I just started using them last year but I like what I see so far I did use blacks with rubber bands. and I forgot to say I use a Scotty pinch pad for my temp probe rigger I used one on Maniac's boat and it worked great.

  4. Brad is on the $ with the new releases.I have used blacks for years and I will use Chamberlain releases this year they are great. I had spoons down 100 feet last spring in olcott and the rod was almost touching the water very easy to use and set up. They are coming out with a stacker mid summer so that will be a plus for my temp probe rigger here is a link to Keith's web site. Hope this helps

  5. And I thought that Mass was the most screwed up state They want to increase the tax on a gallon of gas 29 cents to pay for there big dig blunder over here and make the people that don't even go near the city pay for it  they just love to hit people were it hurts.Instead of cutting there spending and getting rid of the losers that suck the states dry they hammer us :headbang: the ones that pay for there jobs.So now there will be a few less of us fishing with fee's like that. For me the only way to escape the crap is to be out on the boat away from the hustle and bustle of Life. It's a dam shame. but heah I hope all of the big CEO's of the banking companies choke on the Millions of $$ in bonuses they got :@ Don't worry we will take care of you :mooning: The middle class people always do  I could go on and on but I won't Like has been said I will pay what ever fee's they want. It's just to bad they want to go this route.

  6. As Ray said there's one in every port. :@ Unfortunately even though you have a 50 cal, he may have an RPG. :$ Boating courses are great as they'll make you aware of the "rules of the road", unfortunately your taking the course won't help that guy who's on a crash course for you.

I'd suggest rather than keying on the phrase "who has the right of way", that you always be alert and pursue the philosophy "How can I safely stay away from that ignorant @ss#0LL" before he causes some damage.

It's also beneficial to remember that most near shore trollers often scare the fish about 150 yards toward deeper water.:clap:

Tom You get a gold star for your answer. So many times I thought I had the right away only to be forced somewhere I didn't want to go by bigger boats :@ who could give a rats A** about me so I will do the same thing make a move so I don't have to deal with the idiots that think they own the water and you are just a twig they can run over :mooning: As far as a Boating course. It is going to be mandatory some time in the future for any one who uses a boat to need a course certifit. When I was boarded on the Niagara river last spring by the Boys I gave them my certifit for the coast Guard coarse and they said that they only get a few people that have the coarse and they said the same thing that it's only a mater of time. I also learned alot of things I didn't know so it is a plus to take one :)
