The bite slowed down fast at the oak. The Wednesday before labor day I told my clients that fishing has end at the oak. I knew when I had to travel 12 mile east of port to box out a 4 man crew, the majority of the kings are gone. Then on Thursday I picked up my 1st skunk in 15yrs. I packed up the boat and brought her home.

This salmon place in the pen 4 yrs ago were to big for the pens. They were already imprinted for the salmon river that's why they most of the fish travel east.

I heard this proposal got turned down. With new licenses kicking in couple weeks doubt you will see approval anytime soon.

These fish are hitting flashers. I have couple with teeth marks in them.

Run your leads off your dypsy to 8 to 10 ft. Your fly length to your flasher should be 22"s.

Use lemon scented dish soap and wipe it on your skin that works wonders.

I know who your talking about. its actually his son who gave you the problems. I had run in with this guy couple yes back. Even payed him a visit to discuss his problem. He was more surprised I approached him. Whole new attitude from that day on. Don't let one guy ruin your days fun.

Yeah it was fast action for a couple hrs then died down

Started out at the 26 line with temp down 88 or so. Dypsy 220 and 300 one with the new big weenie flasher and and fudge packer fly and the 10" spi NY and crybaby fly took majority of the fish slow rigger bite for me with the exception of our 2 triples. 400 with a meat rig and fudge pacer big weenie fly pick up action when e everything else died. Jon little salmon just got a order in of the new fudgw packer flys in. I been beating on kings with this fly since I got it last week.
