  1. Sharkbait,

I'm on Hemlock at least a few times a week, the last time I was out was this past Saturday and there were a few large weed pots just off Mission point. Hopefully they have moved north of the markers. The eye's have been spotty lately out there. Good luck man!

  2. SharkBait!

Once again nice job!!! I'm assuming spoons bouncing off the bottom with the riggers?

caffeinatedsnail23 (aka my brother) got out Saturday night and just picked up 1 northern about 31-32 inches, pretty skinny, no real shoulders yet. I did not have my favorite weather pattern, but I had to fish when I had the chance.

Looking forward to getting out again!

    Keep bringing your reports!!!!

  3. Some more information from the DEC...According to the DEC records, the eye that I caught was tagged on April 11th of 2002 in the Conesus inlet. This female was 25.2 inches and was 7 years old. When I caught her she was 12 pounds, 31 inches and was 13 years old. Pretty cool! I have not taken a picture of the tag yet, my bad, but I will and get it posted. Looking forward to the weekend with the nasty conditions coming in...perfect for the eyes! I'll catch you guys out this weekend for sure.

  4. SharkBait,

I'm still waiting to hear back from the DEC about the tag. That was the first fish that I have ever caught with a tag, pretty cool. Like a dumb a**, I left my camera at the house. So I do not have any pictures of him :? . I'll take a picture of that tag and get it posted.

Looks like you gays had a good day on Saturday!

    8 pike

    6 walleye

    home by noon Priceless!!!

    Way to go!!!

What were your times that you picked up your eyes and what sticks were you using?

Are you getting out this week?

    Let me know.

  5. Got out with my brother for a bit Thursday evening/night. Went 1 for 2, netted a 12 pound, 31" eye with a DEC tag in the mouth. Still waiting to hear back the information on this fish. I will post once I get it. Sorry about the late report, was away from my computer since Thursday. Flat lining bombers with a 150 foot lead. Weather was perfect, North wind with plenty of clouds. Will get out again this week.

  6. Sharkbait!!!

    Nice looking northern and tiger!!!

    I love hooking those tigers!!!

I bet you guys had to work your a**** off for the eyes. The past 3-4 years have been very productive with the clouds and wind out of the north. Are you going to get out during the week? Let me know if you do, I know my brother and I will be hitting it. I'll let you know just how we do.

    Good eye fishing!

  7. SharkBait and the rest of the boys,

I did not get out on Friday night, instead I was working 3 nice Tom's in the morning. Could not close the deal!!! Anyhoo, my brother and I got out Saturday just as that front came through, that was all kinds of fun! We fished until about 11:15 PM. Had a bit of trouble with crossing all of our flat lines, kinds sucked! But we had 2 hooked up for a brief second and then dropped them. We are going to hit it this week for sure. Planning on going out when there are clouds and a north wind. We have had great success with those weather conditions.

Nice job Scramp! that's about the fish we average, from the 6 to 10 pound range!

    Good luck boys!

  8. Doug,

I do not have a vhf on my boat. I do have just the hand held radios that we use for hunting/fishing. I can PM you my cell number and drop you a call or text if that works for you. I'll dig out some of my past years pics from the mac when I get a chance.

I'm in a 14 ft. blue Mirrocraft, what boat are you going to be in?

    Thanks

    Steve

  9. All right you clowns! This winter I'll paint the "blue tuna" army green like my brothers canoe, then put a nice little aqua stripe down the side like Chuck's boat! Another thing, can a fisherman have to many spoons??? Lets open up my brothers fly box...I meant to say his 120 quart box of flies.

Anyhoo, FLXTroutman and Doozer, were usually on channel 4, subchannel 0 on the hand held radios.

    Good luck boys!

  10. Yo, you forgot to mention that I got the goose egg once again! :D  :D

Fish gods are smiling upon you. I was within 200 yards of you most of the time and nadda...zippo!

I can hear a good busting from Chuck coming my way soon!

Nice job brother, keep it up!!!

  11. CS23,

Last Friday evening I went 1 for 2. Decent 3.5 pound smallmouth. My brother in his boat went 0 for 2. We got back out on Saturday. I ended up 1 for 3...I lost about a 8 pound bow on the back of the boat. Chartruse Apex 25 feet down over a 50 foot bottom. Again a about a 3 pound smallie was the one that I landed. The 3 fish was on for about 20 seconds.

We are hitting Hemlock again tonight, I'll let you know if we do anything.

    Good Luck

    Steve

  12. 5.26 Got out for some afternoon fishing on Saturday. Worked the whole lake and threw plenty of different set ups out. Picked up a 8 pound brown. 35 feet down over 70 FOW on a blue and chrome R&R. Few other releases but no one there.

5.26 Saturday evening (CONESUS) took my father out and put him on a 10 pound eye in the first 5 minutes. Had 2 other hits but no fish, pulled out at midnight.

    5.27 Sunday...big goose egg

5.28 Monday, marked plenty of fish with a few releases but no trout. Worked in tight to the shore and picked up a 9 pound eye. 20 feet down over 30 FOW.
