  1. What is the best paint and best method to re-paint old stinger spoons or for that matter stingers that have caught two fish and no longer have any paint. I am starting to accumulate quite a few and would like to make good use of them. Thanks for any help.

  2. Hey weatherman

My nephew and I have been catching quite a few decent perch in 45 to 58 fow which I thought was way too deep but they were there. Went today and did a bunch of dink smallies between the perch. Freakin minnows thieves. The drop shot was the way to go I was running straight 4lb Seaguar with two no. 6 octopus egg hooks and perch minnows but half a crawler on each hook worked just as well. The 1" gulp minnows worked to.

  3. Fished south end from 7 to 1. Caught 4 small Salmon and a decent bow. The salmon came on a flatlined blue thunderstick, a orange fishlander spoon down 20ft on rigger, a flatlined blue Williams wobbler, and the bow hit a blue dolphin stinger run on 200ft of copper over about 165 fow. Tried the dypsey's and FF combo for a while without a hit.

  4. Headed out for a solo run today. I was on the water by 7 fished for about 3-1/2 hours. Caught 2 small Lakers and 5 small Landlocks. Lakers were both caught on 20 lb wire dipsey 220 back with a Green glow crush SD and a green fly over 250ft. Landlocks came on flatlined small Williams wablers and a blue dolphin scorpion spoon run off 200 ft of copper. If I could have controlled the boat a better I probably could have caught a bunch more but it was really pretty rough out there.

  5. Thanks Hermit,

I kinda feel like I should give that young man my money but that cash will buy a lot of diapers and such for my little one at home.

The winning fish hit pretty strange. Probably 3/4 of the Lakers I get are fish that are chasing my jig back to the boat. That fish I was dropping my jig down not paying to much attention and my line quit dropping way before it hit the bottom. I felt the slack and had to take probably 8 cranks of the reel before I felt the weight of the fish. She had come up about 40ft off the bottom and just knocked the snot out of jig. Awesome hit and I'm glad she was big enough for the win.

Congrats to you to Hermit you have had a hell of a year fishing tournaments.

  6. I have a 17' deep v tracker boat with a wt console and a tracker trailer. What pressure should I have the trailer tires set to???? I currently have them at 42 and it is beating the snot out my boat as I pull it. I asked the folks in auburn at BPS and they said 50psi but that seems way too high.......
