the biggest difference between a dodger and a flasher is not just the different movement, but also the material they are made out of. the metal dodger i believe is "louder" in the water. it is hard to beat a trash can dodger.

Clarke, I have a couple of extra Heartland 9'6" rods. if you want, try them and see if you like them.

BORING... asphalt is for getting there , dirt is for racing on.

I replace some of my rapala stickbaits with gamakatsu red hooks. i don't know if the red hooks make a difference but they don't hurt. i don't like the stock hooks on rapalas.

Glen, I think that i would like a box to hold 30-40 flies. My shortest over all fly length 21" and my longest is 27". We need pictures once it is done and patiented.

Beleive it or not , the red road runner head was a killer for perch last year on Cayuga Lake. I did not rig it that way, just 1 fathead then a plan red hook a foot above it with a large minnow. Large minnows = large perch and keeps away the dinks most of the time.

Seasquirrel gave you good info. The only thing i would add is DO NOT throw out a marker once you find the perch.

if i could only have 2 spoons on my boat it would be stinger glow frog and NK black/silver both in mag size. i have a top 5 but getting it down to 2 is really hard.

It looks nice scott, good job! It will look better with that new boat next to it. Did you move it from your old dock location?

We fished the northend of cayuga on sunday. walked to about 300yards north of the twin bouys and found about 2 1/2 inches of clear ice. kept 24 decent perch and we had a lot of through backs. The fishing was slow but a very nice 5 hours on the ice.

I can do the 2nd and not the 9th. No date is going to be good for everyone. The last week in July would also work or any Sunday.

sluggo, I used to frequent the Susquehanna when i lived in JC. I have seen and caught alot of nice eyes out of there. But that is a true trophy out of there. I'm not a guy that puts fish on the wall but that one would go on the wall. Beautiful fish!!!

A friend of mine hunts them all winter. He uses dogs and snowmobiles. His dogs were trained to hunt bear in northern NY but that was outlawed.

sweet looking boat scott! now the fun part... setting it up for fishing!

Dear Santa,
This year for Christmas I would like to find a new boat under my fishin' tree. If you can't fit it under my tree, just leave me $50,000.00 in an envelope.

I buy corkscrew swivels from http://www.bobsoutdoors.com/shop/index. ... =1&cat=155
I add them to all my flashers. Then i tie an overhand loop on the fly leader.

I had the same impression of the store in PA. Nice store and fun to go to but not a place to stock up on GL products.
