  1. Well I won't keep any lakers under 8 to 9 lbs. The salmon and browns i filet up, smoke a few and give a few to my neighbors. This is the only time I kill fish. So no biggie and they won't get wasted. I just don't want you guys following me around!

Follow Zeke around, he's a better fisherman than I am anyway. I'll get a pic of his boat in a week or 2 and I'll post it up for you guys.

  2. Its just a trophy not 10 grand! :D So i won't cry if i don't win.

You guys better have good limits cause if you don't have a limit, your not going to win. You can bet I will have a limit. I will have my limit by 8:00 am and then culling the rest of the day. Bank on it. :P Last year I caught about 50 fish during the LOU. I'm not kidding either.

  3. Ok rigging my new boat. I put in a second battery and hooked up the electronics to it. The main starting battery has the riggers and motor only. I need to install a switch (perko). How the heck do I wire it? Where do I get the wire and terminals?

Motor is a 4.3 mercrusier IO.

My understanding is to only run it on the main (1) on the way out and then on the way back in switch it to 2 to charge the electronics battery. Can you switch the battery from 1 to 2 while the motor is running?

Never run it on both unless you can't start motor. Never switch it to off when the motor is running or you will blow the alternator.

    any other info please.

    Thanks guys.

  ...rusty,...without you knowing it a transponder has been attached to your boat. Chaos is now in Colorado establishing an up-link to my GPS. You cannot hide your boat. My want to think about leaving it at the dock for the LOU-All

But if i leave it at the dock, you won't be able to find my secret spot!

Ha ha good one Stinger. I laughed hard on that one. :D

  5. I dunno Zeke I wasn't fishing in my spot last year. It was really weeded up. So I know a spot that is usually weed free. I fished there and the fish were there too. :D

Allthough it won't be hard to spot me in the shiney new boat! AND today is a great day as I'm picking it up this afternoon! :D I hope the wind dies down for this evening as I plan to have happy hour on it! In the driveway!

  6. Little trick I learned from Captain Ernie L. Replace the front hook with one size bigger than the one thats there, leave the back one the same size. If there are 3 trebs, take the front off and replace the back 2 like above. Big difference! I use gammy's or owners.

  7. Didn't quite know where to post this. I am having a tough time finding a rail mount for this antenna. I have been round and round with raymarine to no avail and the wrong mount sent twice. It does not fit the regular VHF mount. It appears to be a half inch screw. I don't want to mount it on the top of the cuddy. I'm looking for a rail mount. Appreciate all help.

    Thanks RR

  8. All of the creeks around Ithaca will have trout in them. Spinning gear with egg sacs or worms will catch fish. Mepps spinners work too.

There will be a crap load of people fishing so just watch them.

Except the snaggers of course! I've caught them up till the end of May. Usually when the suckers show up it slows down though. You can bank fish the lake year round if ya want to. I'm sure its pretty decent off shore over at Esty. Fish with slip sinker rigs and big shinners or 8 ft down under a bobber. Roostertails in white work too. Catch browns and lakers, why wait!
