  1. Hey Youarenuts,

I was up to Dean's Cove a couple weeks ago. Wacked a 30 incher right out of the shute. We turned North and fished up to that point. They were hitting so well we had to go into shore and hide behind a tree to change lures. Had best luck with a One-Eyed Mcgee. PM me and we'll hook up sometime.

  2. Shoved off from Taughannock SP @ 0615, very clear skies and a brisk South wind. After retrieving the boat, draining the water ang inserting the plug we left again. due to the wing we headed north behind the lee of the State Park Point. About 0644 a hundred feet down in 155 fow my line went tight. Up from the depths came a very fat 28" laker! The purple/white spoon buried deep amoung a full set of thorny looking teeth. Had a heck of a time removing the lure. The fish was bleeding heavily so we decided to make it one for the smoker. I quickly returned my spoon to the water for another try. After a few misses I checked my rig only to find Iwas trolling without a hook! It had came off the spoon and was still in the livewell.

Other than a handfull of small landlocks that was it for the day. We pulled our lines @ 1130.

Marked many nice fish and some of the largest herds of baitfish I have ever seen.

A few other boats out but not many.

All and all a good day. Thanks to all who responded to my first thread.

  3. That would be Taughannock at the South end. 'Coarse the Helmsman has to duck to get under the bridge.

Now I see that the weatherman is calling for winds gusting up to 23 MPH. That should blow the warm water back from the south.

Remember the old days when we just went fishin' ?
