  1. Thanks for the info. Yeah Yukon, it's not like I'm trying to sell my car or something.
  2. Would like to rent a lakeside place on the southern half of Cayuga. Should sleep 4 to 6 with not too many steps. It would be for about a week and after Labor Day. Thanks in advance. Neil Contact [email protected]
  3. I believe "that guy" is P.T.Barnum. Hey Muskybob, how many people figured out how many legs were on the bus?
  4. Hey Youarenuts, I was up to Dean's Cove a couple weeks ago. Wacked a 30 incher right out of the shute. We turned North and fished up to that point. They were hitting so well we had to go into shore and hide behind a tree to change lures. Had best luck with a One-Eyed Mcgee. PM me and we'll hook up sometime.
  5. What is there about rough water on the surface (chop) that causes Salmon to start feeding more that they usually do. Who ever heard of a Lake Trout Chop?
  6. Hey, areyounuts How did you make out Tuesday? I heard from a friend that they killed them on Monday. He took his girlfriend Sara with him and even she boated a couple of nice ones. I don't have any pics though. Too quick on the draw.
  7. It sounds like one but I don't fish Canandaigua. I don't hear much talk about lamperys on that lake. About 1/3 of the fish we catch out of Cayuga have marks like that but we've never caught one in Kueka that way.
  8. Neil, I think you have the wrong Neil. Neil (Toonfisher) Hey, no problem spending some money in the bars in Sodus.Old sailors are good at that kind of thing. Might get back to you on that.
  9. Glad to see somebody else is interested in Sodus. I haven't gotten out this year yet. Looking for a place to dock overnight on the bay. Toonfisher (Neil)
  10. Anybody know if the place is open this season. I am looking for overnight dockage on Sodus Bay. Hopefully not too far from the shute.
  11. Tank, The Keuka Lake Assoc. has a web site that gives temp. and lake level. Don't know a exact web address but it's out there.
  12. Lost your information in the shuffle. ( should blame it on the PCO ). Let's try it again. [email protected]
  13. The Hammonsport Motel, the ramp is a little rough but it is doable. I launch a 22' pontoon boat there from time to time.
  14. Cayuga is where the action is. I hear they sometimes get a nice LL Salmon over there. Some people get outfished, some people get fished out.
  15. Good one Sparky. I captured it in Favorites
  16. We are looking to catch a few stripers during the first week in June. Probably out of Hart-Miller State Park or North Point State Park. Both East of Baltimore on the West shore. Thanks Tall Tails
  17. Anybody know of a message board similar to this one for the Chesapeake? Going down this Summer and would like to get a handle on the fishing first. Thanks in advance. :?:
  18. I hear it's really slow, mostly small ones. One guy got a 34 incher last fall on a homemade spoon but he doesn't fish there much anymore. You might want to try Cayuga.
  19. Shoved off from Taughannock SP @ 0615, very clear skies and a brisk South wind. After retrieving the boat, draining the water ang inserting the plug we left again. due to the wing we headed north behind the lee of the State Park Point. About 0644 a hundred feet down in 155 fow my line went tight. Up from the depths came a very fat 28" laker! The purple/white spoon buried deep amoung a full set of thorny looking teeth. Had a heck of a time removing the lure. The fish was bleeding heavily so we decided to make it one for the smoker. I quickly returned my spoon to the water for another try. After a few misses I checked my rig only to find Iwas trolling without a hook! It had came off the spoon and was still in the livewell. Other than a handfull of small landlocks that was it for the day. We pulled our lines @ 1130. Marked many nice fish and some of the largest herds of baitfish I have ever seen. A few other boats out but not many. All and all a good day. Thanks to all who responded to my first thread. Toonfisher
  20. Sully, I can find Sheldrake but where is Deans Cove and where did you launch? 17 isn't too bad, the way fishing has been this year. I heard of a guy who fished out of Penn Yan last week a only caught 1 small perch.
  21. That would be Taughannock at the South end. 'Coarse the Helmsman has to duck to get under the bridge. Now I see that the weatherman is calling for winds gusting up to 23 MPH. That should blow the warm water back from the south. Remember the old days when we just went fishin' ?
  22. Probably fishing out of the State Park on Monday morning. Any scoop from this weekend would be helpful. Esp. the weed situation. Will post a report next week. How about it areunuts.
  23. Now that Cary's Cove is no longer in business does anyone know where I can rent a transient slip? One or two nights, must handle a 22' pontoon boat. Thanks in advance.
