Went out with my son and son-in-law Monday and caught only two pike one 5lb-4 and one 5lb-7. Next day son-in-law caught one 10.5lber and my son got a 4 lber. Slow but a heck of a lot of fun!

I have a local farmer that dumps raw cow **it by the tanker fulls accross from me and when the wind is wrong I close the windows and leave for a long ride! The stuff makes me puke! I feel for ya man! I'm looking to move, nosey neighbors also! You may want to move also!

Got an old victrolla (sp) rig willed to me from my father. I would like to put this to use for sentimental reasons. It is spooled now with heavy mono leader, should I switch to florocarbon, wire, ect? What lenth of leads off the main line and any spoon selections would help. Anyone still use one of this rigs still? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Try WD-40 in a spot where not noticable. That stuff works on everything I ever owned. Just my 2 cent.

Rewire as SS says is the best way I found. Question, I have a 9.8 merc and am draining the lower unit. Not much oil in there, I know there should be more. My old Evinrude had quite a bit and it was an 18hp. I only see one vent plug at top of lower unit marked flush. Is this where the oil vents from the lower unit, when I fill from bottom plug? Don't have a manual so I don't know exact amount. Thanks. Hope to make it out this coming week if all goes ok. For sure the 3rd or 4th of April.

Looking to buy a trolling rod and reel combo. Has anyone tried the Depthmaster II Trolling Reels from Diawa? Does anyone have any rods and reels to sell at a fairly cheap price? Don't have alot of Washington's in my pocket, if you catch my drift!

Is fuorocarbon line a must in trolling, flat lining or with downriggers? What brand of line would be something to start with and not very expensive to try? Thanks

Yankee, What part of the lake did you fish on? We fished Tuesday afternoon, caught only one pike 27 inches. My buddy caught a 14.5lb. pike last week off north end! 37 and 1/2 inch. Man that was a nice looking pig of a pike!
