  1. November 9 am 37 degrees South wind 5-8 mph Party cloudy Another picture perfect November morning to be in the woods. Plenty of deer on their feet. 2 shooters seen this morning along with 3 young bucks and 6 does and fawns. I moved a stand today on the same so I could hunt in a northerly wind instead of south wind I hung it for. Crunch time! Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  5. Well big 8 pushed his doe off the field and into the big woods. 30 minutes later he was running opposite way full speed out of the woods across the field and into the other woods without his doe. Hmmm. Bigger buck maybe? Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  7. Big 8 pt just showed up with a doe. They were just feeding in the field and that grabbed the attention of two young bucks. Big buck has been chasing them off. He also made time to tear up a tree and make a scrape. 100 yards and closing... Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  9. Ive tried to make this a huge part of where I hunt. Every stand I hang I would say that,50% of the consideration is how am i getting there.
  10. I had to work late tonight and didnt make it to thee woods. I saw deer everywhere on my drive home. I mean everywhere. They are loving this cold front. Probably a great night to be in the a tree.
  11. November 8 am 34 degrees S wind 5 mph Partly sunny Heavy frost, crisp cool morning Lots of deer on their feet this morning. Most of the activity was before 730. Seen 15+ deer total. 5 bucks (possibly the same buck twice). One of the bucks was a shooter. 120s class buck Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  14. November 7 pm 42 degrees NE wind 5 mph Partly sunny Lots of deer moving after 430. 15-20 deer seen. 3 small racks and a giant. The young bucks bumped the does they came in contact with but no real chasing. They were more concerned with eating. Had a tough time getting out of the stand and got stuck there until 540. 15. That's the one thing I have yet to see this year is bucks chasing does. I've seen them bump does in fields at dusk but no big chases yet. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  22. Well no news is bad news. We did not find the buck I arrowed yesterday morning. I stuck him at 8am at a distance less then 15 yards. I hit him high and the arrow didn't pass through. (Blue dot in picture below). I watched him run full speed away from me for about 25 yards and then make a 90 degree turn into the brush. He sounded like a bull in a China shop running through the brush and then I believe I heard him go down. I immediately left the woods and headed home. Knowing what I saw, where I hit him, and knowing the forecast I could only hope he was dead where I heard him go down. Around noon it absolutely poured. At this point I knew that our search would be nothing more than us looking for a body in the woods. I returned with my army at 1:30. The woods was now flooded with ankle deep water. The rain destroyed any sign including footprints. I walked everyone through the scenario and it immediately turned into a blind search. To my disbelief we found the arrow. Almost exactly where I thought I heard the buck go down. All signs of blood washed off. Two hours and four guys covered a lot of ground with nothing. I spoke with the neighbor and after we left he spent another hour or so looking also. It's sucks. It's a tough thing to deal with as a hunter. A clean miss is one thing but to injure the beast we are all after is a while another thing. Yesterday was a tough day. Sleeping last night was also tough. I took today off from the woods to screw my head on straight again. I went through gear and washed hunting clothes. I'm ready to get back to it tomorrow. A big shout out to dvdegeorge and jakeybaby for playing bird dog and helping me search yesterday! Thank you guys! Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. November 5 am 52 degrees South wind 20+ Cloudy Occasional shower The deer were moving this morning. Lots of does and fawns seen feeding the field. Some were already there when I arrived this morning. More importantly, 3 shooters on their feet this morning. Around 8ish I had an encounter with a good buck and stuck him with an arrow at about 10-15 yards. I backed out and I'm letting him sit. Hopefully Ill have pics and story to share this afternoon when I go get him. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Slip an extra $20 in the donation basket for me. I'm gonna need some influence to help find this buck. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
