If you can catch a coon you can catch a cat. No comparison to the canines other than a gray fox
-
Yes the trench set is real good. Again, the lack of backing and the sight through the set are bonuses for yotes. I also think fox dont mind fresh dirt under their feet but yotes shy frim it a bit. I really try to blend my traps if im after yotes.

I enjoy shooting them too but have always liked to trap. Very educational process. The difference between the cats and dogs is amazing

Quick tip on posting pics?
-
Trapped a nice one a couple days ago. Nice hide and dark, dark guard hair.

As long as you hang a cc in ny, pa will honor that and issue you a pa permit. Not a big deal at all. Sheriff's office in Coudersport will take care of it like he said. Not bad for a bunch of snaggers.

I will take lot 2. Along with the spin Dr's

I will take the spin Dr's. Shoot me your address and I will get a check in the mail.

Wondering if anyone could recommend a vendor for metal posted signs. I would like to have my name added to them if possible. Thanks in advance. Tom

Just my take, but here goes. I can't see using a expandable for any other reason than convenience. Fixed blades will fly if your bow is tuned correctly. I understand sometimes it is easier to just shoot the expandable. No tuning necessary. That's fine but you have to realize you have brought another issue into the equation, blade deployment, and pick your shots accordingly. Anytime you kick an arrow at all you lose penetration. You want to keep the mass centered behind the tip. I agree shot placement is critical but so are two holes, an in and out. If possible I'm shooting a striker.
-
Have to also recommend the strikers. Shoot them out of my compound and crossbow. Pretty much cut on contact and the replacement blade option is a strong point. Rugged head that flies true.

Ditto the plug change. No question changing to resistor plugs fixed the issue.

Yotes
in Big / Small Game
Posted
By crowded I mean a set that guides them too much or has too much backing. It can be slight. A gray fox will go in a cubby, a red very seldom, a yote almost never. Yotes like to see past the set so you don't want it too tight to brush or a goldenrod field. They are all smart but the yote is nervous on steroids.
