  2. I'm with you to Jeff on the Lake Trout rule last year. All Pro-Ams we fished we didn't get one laker. Glad its gone! Funny thing is today we were out and got 3! Just wanted to get all teams on the same page as far as the rules go. Didn't mean to hurt any feelings but wanted to express my opinion. To bobs_boy, just to let you know, we started out as a 3 man team fishing off a 19' Starcraft. Some tourneys fun others (Oswego) not so fun. Our team goal is not to make money its to win the Am Division and go from there! Jeff let me know about parking your boat, plenty of room! Good luck to all and rember Niagara is having a money raffle $2500 first prize!

  3. Thanks Paul for the compliment. As far as fishing what division, we as a team haven't decided which route to go! Not out here trying to start a fire just wanted to raise the questions on some of the rules. I also have spoken to Bob about the rules and he has explained to me why they are the way the are. Doesn't mean i have to agree with them! Appreicate the time and efforrt you and the rest of the committee put forth! Lets lay this to rest and lets have a fun Pro-Am Series. See ya at the meeting Paul and good luck!

Just a reminder the Niagara Pro-Am is having a Cash Raffle with top prize of $2500. If interested in tickets contact Dawn Wilson at the Newfane Town Marina!

  4. Never said 9 fish would be better. For the most part in the past tournaments thats what the rule was 9 fish! The rules are based on a two man team=6 fish! Most Am teams are most likely 3 man teams! What does the commitee think a Pro team consists of-4 team members that =12 fish! Then we throw in 2 man teams can by a license for the observer on their boat so they can run 6 rods. Another rule i don't favor! Don't think the vast majority of the Am teams told the Pro-Am series commitee thats what they wanted. Paul just one fisherman voicing his opion. I know what hard work goes into making these events stronger and stronger each year. Just would really like to know who is exactly on the rules commitee? Thanks for your thoughts!

  5. Thanks for the update on the rules! And as far as volunteering for the Pro-AM I do my fair share for the Niagara County event. Not once have I been asked to participate in the rule making! And yes I have asked to be on the rule board! At Sodus last year a few teams got together and wrote down some ideas for the rules and i don't think that was one of them!! Just my thoughts on rules!

  6. In my opinion keeping the first 6 legal fish is not good for the fishery! If the fish we get average 20'' is this a good way to let these fish mature? Not in my opinion. Who made that one up? Should of went back to the original limit of 9 fish for the AM. Should be able to save on gas this year with that rule!

  7. Just wondering since the Niagara Pro-Am is only 3 1/2 weeks away where are the 2008 updated rules. I know there are changes to the Am Division and wonder if all the teams know of them! Haven't seen them listed anywhere! Be nice if someone would update their website!!

  9. Over the last many years the businesses and private indviduals of the Town of Newfane have donated their time, money and products towards the Niagara Pro-Am. Didn't matter if you docked out of Wilson or Olcott, these people just wanted to make the tourney as rewarding to all fisherman not just a select few! The same ones will be doing the same this years as in the past wether you are Yanks fan or a Sox fan you will be included in the event!! Good luck to all that participate in the up comin Pro-Am. Have fun and be safe!

  10. Screamer, First i would call Lowrance direct and talk to a electronics technician. I have called the a few times and each time they have walked me through the situation. Very helpful! Heres the number. 1-800-324-1356

Just a reminder their office is out of Oklahoma. Good luck

  11. Kind of wonder why the boats in the Olcott marina are not able to fish this. Wonder if some of the sponors listed know its just out of Wilson! Alot of reservations have been made at Olcott Marina. Hate to see anyone change their minds and switch marinas! Just my opinion. Have to ask the little birdie to get me some more info!! Good luck!

  12. Friend of mine is looking to repair the back floor of his Penn Yan. The floor is fiberglass. Someone mentioned to put on the Herculiner material that is used for bedliners of trucks. Went on their website and it says waterproof and will adhere to most all things! Anyone ever tried this? Thanks

  13. Heard through the grapevine the Am division gained @ 6 teams while Pro's stayed the same! Don't tell me that the rules for 6 fish plus a bonus laker or two man teams had anything to do with it! Thats a crock! I think a total of 3 lakers entered at Orleans, success or luck who knows! See ya in a few days!!
