  1. fished seven of the last fifteen days at the niagara bar. spent $800 on gas for almost 600 lbs of fish. until fridays big east blow fishing was predictable and mostly on fire. saturday looked to be the perfect day. alot of big marks in the usual spots but turned out to be a tough day for us. with the help of guy on the candy boat we traveled 54 miles for six fish. relocated sunday and did well again. met some good guys from oswego. watched a 14 foot boat disappear during last saturday evenings big storm, looked for him for a while and headed in to find them kissing the dock in youngstown with life jackets on. the highlight had to be having the honor of picking up jax in olcott yesterday morning, i think he cost us a few fish having to stop at 6am to run in and get him, and he even backlashed the hell out of my wire on a small laker. even ran the turkey rig because we forgot hot dogs. no fish on the turkey. good times! mike kowalski unreel
  2. so do we know for sure the bridge will be open on april first this year?
  3. close to the west rocks it doesn't go less then five feet. the shallows are at least if not more then half way across the mouth in line with the green marker and out further. barely enough room for two good size boats to pass each other
  4. valves will tulip due to extreme combustion temperatures. pinging is one of the causes and can be caused from low octane, ignition timing too advanced, or a lean fuel condition. the intake valve actually gets red hot and gets pounded into that shape when closed on the seat. make sure the timing is set right and the carb isn't clogged. the smallest partical in the carb can do the same
  5. i have one on my 23 foot volvo io with power steering, motor and clutch seem to work great, i have trouble with it holding course sometimes, it will zigzag esp in wind or wave conditions, i have moved the compass sensor to several places, down low in the bow seems to be the best
