  1. I have had Cannon Mag 10's 15's and DT20. I no longer own a boat but I do like the Scottys on my friends boats. I like the fact that they dont use any power to lower them. I used to have to charge my rigger batteries every nite. With the Scottys I might not have had too. Tilt boom is a nice feature too.

I have wrapped a DT 20 cable on the spool axel a time or two. Just too fast IMO. If I was to do it again...it would be Scottys.

  2. An OK choice is Deer Creek Motel. Cheap. 3 beds in a room.

satelite TV, phesant shooting on site.

Its about 4 miles past Woodys tackle shop headed towards henderson harbor on the right hand side. Plenty of boat parking and fish cleaning on site. Freezer space too.

  3. Go to www.savantspoon.com if you want to see a spoon that looks like a Goby.

Click on the savant spoon or the Jake spoon on the left side. Then go to the painted spoons, not the glow colors. Scroll down untill you see the Goby. Its been a producer for both Browns and Kings.

Jons at the little salmon has them. Fat Nancy's and All Seasons also carry Savant Spoons.

  4. I too am looking for a inexpensive place to rest my head at night for a upcoming weekend in June. Will be fishing out of the Little Salmon river area.

nothing fancy. Just a place to wash up and a bed to sleep in.

  5. "Schniders little salmon bar and grill in texas" OMG you cant be serious! I had a bagel breakfast sandwich there. (greasy) I "dumped out" at the facilities at the mexico point launch before getting on the boat. Went a couple of miles out and set up. Couldnt be more than 30 min. after leaving the launch and I had to stock some "brown trout" of mine own. That bagel was like a lazer beam...it went right thru me. I will never eat there again.

  6. My bet would be a female with eggs.

I would gladly trade you my lobster tail for both your claws.

Steamed... not boiled is the way to go.

18 min. once the pot comes back to a boil is the key!!!!!

Dont cook too many at once, I cant eat them that fast.

    Ymmmmmmmmmmm

  7. Things I have or have had a friend go looking for in a pinch.

Boat plug - various kinds - Cant wait till the marina opens- I want to fish now!!!

    fuses for downriggers, etc.

    leader material

    snaps, swivels...quality kinds

latest "hot" spoon/fly that is being talked about.

    Ice

    wire line, copper, leadcore

    downrigger balls

    downrigger terminators

    Blacks releases

    sun glasses - polarized

    hat

    sun screen

    film, disposable camera

Thats about all I can remember at this time.

  8. Went there back in 80 or 81 when I was still in high school. Stayed in Clarksville Va. I caught my first LM bass there. Ended the trip with a 6 pounder and a 12+ pound striper on 8lb test and a spinning rod. 4 days ....lots of fun and tons of bass. Guides name was Jim Ayers??? I think. Most likely passed away by now. Nice guy.

  9. I fished Cozumel about 10-12 years ago. Lord knows if the charter is still around. Just wanted to say we pulled a few bucktail jigs around and other baits. Caught 5 fish and most came on the bucktail jigs. 3 kinds of tuna. Big eye, yellow fin and bonito. It was a half day charter that picked me up at the resort I was staying at. It was fun but I was after a sail or a wahoo. The tuna was fun too dont get me wrong.

    Good luck out there.

I'm tring to find a charter in Puerto Plata DR. Anyone have an leads?????
