  1. Went 8-12 Couple of Kings around 19 lb. Dropped a couple of bows between 8-10 lb. and a monster brown at the boat. Also took a bunch of smaller kings and coho. 180-210 fow. 24-35 down. nbk, orange crush, chicken wing, purple thunder ss. Hottest lure was the NBK. Took both big kings. Everything came on a NW troll. 2.2-2.3 at the ball. Early was hot. when the wind died down and the rain came, the action slowed down. it was a slow pick by 8:00. Good luck to all.

  2. No pictures. I forgot the camera and it was hard enough netting while driving a smaller boat in those conditions. We put them on the boca grip and that's how I got those weights. The really big one was a chore because it broke the stick in half in its mouth, so we just wanted to get it back in the water. I will try to get some the next time we go out. Really good mud lines. The best fishing was at the entrance to cowsucker right after the point in 6 fow. We took one on all four passes and then called it a day due to the NE wind.

  3. We are always in catch and release mode unless it's a weigher for the Derby. I'm such a catch and release guy that we threw back a monster Laker during the first week of the derby. We didn't think it would last the leaderboard even though it probably would have taken 3rd place at the worst. Foster Miller from School Master was with us and always reminds me that I was the one that threw it back twice (we swung around to revive it a second time because it was such a nice fish).

  4. Rob,

We went out in the washing machine Monday afternoon and did three kings and a bow in an hour and a half. (2) Flasher/Fly, NK 28 DL Kevorkian/ DW M&M/ 15-30 down on the riggers. You just couldn't troll into them by the time we got into the fish. They were there but boat control was horrible with the 20+ MPH gusts out of the west. I could have handled the 3-4 waves out of the west but the wind just made it impossible to get back over the fish. Hopefully, we'll see you out there Saturday morning. There seems to be a window of opportunity during that time to get some fishing done.
