The Skunk'd Too is heading out of the Genny on its maiden voyage tomorrow morning. Things didn't work out well at all last season, but I haven't & won't give up.
Does anybody have any insight on what's hot lately & where?
Thanks!

Now that my post re: trolling plates vs. bags has fortified my decision. Any thoughts on fishfinders/sonar? I really would like to get a new one, with an internal GPS. Thanks!

I get a tow harness for water skiing, the self-centering type, a 5 gal. bucket, drill some holes in it, replace the buckets' handle with rope, add a swivel to the rope, hook it all together to the u-bolts already on the stern, that may just be the low budget solution!

So, instead of spending $$$ on trolling bags, I should give a couple of 5 gal. plastic buckets with a 2"hole cut in the bottom tied to the forward cleats?

Any thoughts on trolling bags vs. a trolling plate? I've got an 18' Starcraft Superfisherman with a 135 HP outboard.
Take look at this: http://www.lindylittlejoe.com/fishing_tips/drif..._drift_bags.shtml

Well, the boat ran well & almost all of the lures are quite clean. Went one for four, 3'-6' down over 10'-15' on the 'riggers. Three came on a black & silver NK 28.Boards saw no action. Ended up with a 15" steelhead off Russell Station on some bastard green stick bait, the first one to ever hit the boat!
