  1. i have never had an issue with it before.  Caught many a Pike on a crank bait and many perch on a small senko.  If you are site fishing for them on the beds that may be an isssue.

  2. WEST SPARTA, N.Y. -- The state's Department of Environmental Conservation is investigating the shooting of two horses by hunters over the weekend in Livingston County.

The DEC said coyote hunters on Moore Road in West Sparta shot the two animals Saturday night. One of the horses died. The second is being treated for its injuries.

According to the agency, the two hunters are licensed and had permission to hunt on that land.

    Horses are big creatures.

  3. I was out in Erie a couple weeks ago.  People were tubing in the harbor.  Place was a zoo.  It is a tough place for kids as it is big fish and low quantity unless you have incite where the perch might be.   If you are talking dragging tubes on the bottom, follow the boats is my best suggestion.   With little kids stick close to harbor or in the harbor.  We got out butt kicked out in the lake with 4-5 foot waves.

  4. Went for a quick shakedown trip with a buddy last night.  One side of the launch was wide open, the other side had a big piece of ice in it that should be gone soon.  Still a lot of ice on the bay.  There is a half a dock in which made launching easier.  Boat started on the second crank and we were fishing by 5:45.  Made a pass down to shipbuilders.  ! foot chop when we started turned to 2-3 pretty quick.  There is a lot of ice in the water and the shore ice is 10 feet thick.  NW blew the ice back into shore.  Water temp is around 33 degrees.  Went 1/1 in 1.5 hours of fishing.   Little brown about 18 inches.  By the time we made it back the starboard side was pretty icy.  Good to be back out and begin the season.
