  1. I'M for it. I am an avid bowhunter But will gladly give up three days of the season to get kids involved in the sport. Nice weather, unspooked deer and a chance of a memory that will last a lifetime.. Might even get a few away from the tv and video games..

  2. Looking for a little info on fishing for steelhead this time of year. Fishing out of Oswego. Any pointers on were to start, water depth, temp, downspeep, lure selection ? I know things change daily just looking for general guidlines. We do good on Kings and Browns but Steelies seem to evade us.. Thanks in advance for any info..

  3. While fishing out of Oswego this past week ran into a couple of incidents that IMO should never happen especially not from reputable charter captians. While trolling east for some time on the same line one came from the north and apparentlly wanted to be where I was. I didn't move and thought I was going to have to put the bumpers out. Finally he gave way after getting within 50 ft then settled about 150 ft. Well soon after another one came from the north cut right in front of him then turned hard right between us... making both of us scramble to pull our dispys. It has happened many many times where Charters will come in and force you off the line you have been on. I understand they have paying clients But it doesnt give them the right to think they own the lake. Maybe they can afford to lose tackle but I think most of us recs cannot or dont want to so we give way to them. I dont troll against the flow and will slow and wait till I can get in. If someone is fighting a fish I will break my line and move to give them plenty of room. I refuse to move now so some captain can come in and fish the waters Im in .. I am not saying they all do this as Im sure there are many who do not but I do know a few that most certainly do this.. Rant over..

  4. Tim,

    Thanks.. I wont be splicing. I have heard that the more cable you have on the weaker the signal gets. Is that true? Two options for the antenna that I am aware of. One looks like a small diameter spring the other is bigger around and a solid tube. Wondering which one works better. Has anyone tried both? I have Cannon riggers.

  5. Setting up a Moor Sub-troll wondering what works best for everyone. Is 150lb test coated the norm? How many ft of cable are you running on the rigger? Which Antenna works best? I have both just wondering which one I should install. How deep can I expect to go and still get readings? Thanks

    ==================

    This is my first post must admit been lurking for a little while. I would like to give a big Thank You to people on this site. The knowledge and willingness to share is what makes this site great. Usually make the trip up 6 to 8 times a year for 2 or 3 days at a time. Launch out of Oswego. Hoping to make it out more this year and maybe keep the boat up there for the fall run. I have learned alot on here and hope I can give a little back.
