  1. I bought new big jon pro-tournament series riggers new back in 2008.I had nothing but problems with them from the start. They were rated to handle the 15lb riggers, but failed many times.I had several of the booms break in half( not fun when you have a 15lb ball down 90ft).The motors were changed out twice. The auto stops broke on them also. I will say that big jon customer service was very good and always sent out parts imediatlly. The other issue that I did not like was the way that you lift the boom to bring in the ball and hook up you line in the release. Many times when I had other people fishing with me they would have the downrigger cable jump track becoming tangled.

Last season I purchased new cannon mag 10's rated for 20lb balls.Wow is all that I can say. These riggers preformed flawlessly for me.The riggers are built very sturdy to handle heavier weights, the auto stops on these work flawlessly. The best part is when you have newbies on the boat and they hit the up button, you should see the look in their eyes when the ball comes screaming up at blistering speed. I laso have several cannon downriggers that are over 25yrs old and still work and have never had an issue.

  2. The Parker Buck Shot has been shot very few times my son got it and out grew it in about a year. It is good for kids just starting the sport. He then got The Buck Hunter XP and it was able to kill his first two Archery deer this past archery season. He has just out grew both of these bows they are both in great condition.

  4. I have a 600lc that is giving me problems.I have the reel spooled with wire and my problem is the line guide and line will not stay in sync.I have let all 1000ft out, rewinded it back on and after letting it out a couple of times the line and the line guide are way off.Any Ideas as to what the problem may be? Thanks in advance.

  5. I am running a p[acific 2325V alloy boat made by pacific in washington state. These are the absolute best alluminum boats that I have ever owned. They are virtually indestructable and very low maintence.Mine is a 2005 and equiped with a 150 honda. The dealer for the east coast is www.blacklabmarine.com .jay perotta the owner is a pleasure to deal with and his word is gospel. My boat was late coming from being built on the west coast.Jay brought me down a new loaner boat(14 hours one way from Maine) until mine was finished. How is that for service??

  6. Rod,we fished the spring scotty out of St. Catherines this year.It is a good tournament, held at a real nice marina. As far as getting accross the boarder all you need is a clean criminal record and your birth certificate.Anyone with a dui will not be allowed into Canada.I am heading up to fish in the fall scotty if you need the numbers for the marina and rooms let me know.I have a number for discounted rooms in st. catherines if anyone is interested.

  7. Dukhntr, I could use an observer for the niagra tournament and the orleans if you are interested. We will be up pre fishing on thursday and friday you would be more than welcome to join us if you are interested. As far as the tournament goes you would be observing aboard another team representing us.If you have any interest feel free to let me know.

  8. Give charter lakes Marine Insurance agency a try.I just got a quote from them to run around 20 charters a season. They came in with a price that was less than what I was alredy paying for boat insurance only.Sorry but I do not have their number in front of me,do a goofle search.

  9. If you have an obserever on your boat I do not understand why this could not be enforced?I just do not think it is fair to be able to get on fish then call in your buddies.I think this has a big outcome in the standings.

  10. I would like to see a no communication rule enforced.Tournaments should be won on your own skills. It seems to be all about who you know and if you are in the loop.I have witnessed one boat finding the fish and then calling in all of his buddies. What do you guy,s think of no cell phones or radios?
