  1. In the early spring we use floating and sinking fly lines for rainbows and landlocks. As spring progresses we switch to leadcore or wire lines and go to downriggers in the summer. there is no need to use planer boards in the spring unless you need to get more lines in the water. When fishing for landlocks we always run a Streamer in the prop wash they are not shy fish. If you keep your flylines near the same length you can run 4 lines without boards without to many problems.

  2. I would check your plugs. The bottom plug on 3 cyl johnsons will load up after a few hrs of trolling and will not fire. We could still troll fine but it would not have any power to run. We used to carry extra plugs and change the bottom plug before we could run. There are many other things that it could be but, the plugs are the easiest starting point.

  3. Thanks Bob

It was good meeting you also. I see that Rays father is doing better say hello to Ray and Jason for me. I did'nt get on a boat but i hung around with the Liquid Plumber and Dodger teams after fishing was over so i had plenty to do and i got to sleep late. I may see you at the Oswego pro am. Most of the fish that were caught at Orleans were in the top 30 ft of water.
