SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILSstarted around 5:30 in front of high rocks ran the length of the bouys.took three hits without a hook-up.rods loaded till the tips were touching the water in the waves and vmc hooks you can shave with,go figure.went out to 250 came back in and hooked a shaker something on a ten color in 219.dropped him after 4-5 mins.let my neighbor drive for a bit.created worst tangle i've ever had on any of my boats including two rigger balls wrapped around each other.followed that up by helping at the dock.stuch my boat hook between two boards halfway down the dock while i was still backing in.snapped her off clean.we are getting a lot of milage out of this.beautiful morning,good company and a nice ride.didn't see much bait or fish.

SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS rode with Dave on the It's All Good for the first lake run.spoon took 2 good shots,one of daves, lime green turning to black on top;middle is white with a touch of orange,bottom is a thin strip of silver i have no idea what it is called.nice shakedown run with his boat, mine soon.great to get out there.water level has rose quite a bit.

thanks for the report.we have all had days like that. at least you found a way to get the rods to fire. my personal record is two dipsy's with s/d and flys,1 meat rig, 2 spoons and 1 ball.took 21/2 hours.might have lost more but i quit and went home.

nice job.just a question that may help me later, if you had rods firing in 150 fow why move out to 200?

i wear them on the boat sometimes.in blue.maybe the government will buy the company,turn them around and sell them for a profit to pay off the stimulis package.

o-2 off the wire this afternoon.1 was entirely my fault-put a little to much pressure on him.other one just happened.you got more bites than i did if that helps.

i don't think a downrigger rod would work well.a noodlerod is a long light action rod.a fly rod with a spinning reel would work better.i have caught some nice fish on a cheap noodlerod.

up to this past season i used ande pink 30 lb for fleas.after reading Keating,i tried big game 20 lb this year for flashers and 15 lb for clean spoons.no break-offs and no noticable increase in drops either.browns i run 8 lb big game.dipsys are 30 lb wire,i do have one mono dipsy for a high one,never used it this year.if the dipsys worked,they worked with 275 ft out or 50 feet out.

i have a mish mosh of rods.i acquired 5 of the pinnacles last winter and used them this year.i do really like them.i also like my old ugly sticks,my heartland 10-6 diver rods and i have 1 okuma blue diamond 10-6 or 11 diver rod,5 seasons still no problems and a nice rod.

as some of you might re-call,i had an awfull year last year and the last part of the year before with a re-power that didn't go well.i ended up being towed in 9 or 10 times.used the radio,the cell, and the orange flag.twice i hooked up the orange flag before calling and someone stopped.and a couple went by.i can't complain.2 charters pulled me in at the end of their trip.this year I was fortunate enough to offer assistance to someone else on two occasions.I am grateful for the guys who stopped none of whom would take any money,and am not going to dwell on those who drove by.overall there is a great bunch of guys out there.

even though i have an annuity with aig i am not in favor of the bailout.either with or without a massive bailout,things will probaly get worse before they get better.a simple rule-the bigger the boom,the bigger the bust when it ends.
