Guys,

I am getting crazy down temp. reading with my fish hawk. I am running the new x4 probe also. Readings are from 17 to 90. I have to watch it for awhile and guess what I assume to be correct. I have tried the probe on different riggers with the same results. The down speed reading seems to be ok. Batteries are new in the probe. The display is wired directly to the batteries. The 840 display is mounted under the hard top ceiling on the port side. Not sure what I'm missing. Thank you in advance for any insight.

Got there late about 9ish and fished the north end west of the state launch. The bite was super slow. Ran two jigging rods and three tip downs and only managed a dozen keepers till 4pm.

Tim, nice catch. I have to work next weekend so leave me a few. Good to get out finally for the first time this year.

Fished between the islands from 7-11am and caught 32 nice perch. Very windy on the ice today. All were caught jigging minnows on the bottom in 9-10ft of water just north of Fowlers Marina.

Thanks guys for the ice report. My buddy called me from bay bridge today as a small atv drove right through the docks and up the launch to get loaded on a trailer. I think I'll hoof it for a bit.

I second that question and how is the ice? I'm half chicken, half fraidy cat, and neither of them like to get wet.

Your right on Hank. I'm 34 and all my hunting and fishing buddies are on average of 10-15 yrs older. I got introduced to LO by my friend and his father 24yrs ago. We learned a lot from a charter captain John something or another. The boats name was "SANDMAN".

I have a Masterbuilt electric and love it. Set timer and temp and see ya later. Got it at Bass Pro in Auburn.

Wasn't bad out there Tim. Made those babies into little bite sizers and deep fried them and through em in a basket in the middle of the table for an appetizer. Needless to say the fryer couldn't keep up. Let me know if you want to go sometime.

Eased on down to Port the other morning before the cold front and rain/sleet showed up and did well. Brother was up from Albany for the holiday so we got our two boys tied up into some big ones for about two hours. Six of them pushing over 12" with the majority over 9". All of them came right off the bottom. In total did 33 and had a blast. They fried up real nice. Kicking myself for no photos.

Stay away from Lowarance combos. I have just received my sixth unit from them from a unit I purchased 2yrs ago that was never right from the first month and it is finally good sooo far. They did stand behind it but the quality is not there. For $1000 I am very disappointed. Oh, and you get to wait an hour to talk to someone if you don't get cut off. Never again. Just my 2cents.
