    5. Payout will be for the top 5 places if there are less than 50 teams, and top 10 places for more
    than 50 teams.
    6. Hours of competition are 5am to 1pm on Saturday June 5th, unless altered by the tournament committee for inclement weather. In the event of inclement weather, same schedule & times will resume on Sunday.
    7. Teams may enter and exit from any port but must still be to the weigh-in on time.
    8. Team Structure: Teams are not limited to a maximum number of anglers. Allowable max
number of rods will be based on 4 anglers (12 rods). If you fish fewer than four anglers your
may only run the number of rods allowed by law (3 per angler). But 12 rods is max.
    9. Radio Use: All participating boats must be equipped with an operational VHF radio.
    10. Open communication will be in effect throughout the tournament.
    11. Teams will be allowed to leave their docks at any time, but may not start fishing until 5am.

    15. At least one team member must remain with the days catch until surrendered to the Weigh-in.
    16. Coolers must arrive free of loose ice or water. Ice in cooler has to be bagged. The tournament
committee strongly suggests opening the drain plug on the cooler prior to pre-check.
    17. It is up to you to determine which fish you want to enter for the Big Fish prize. Once you weigh
a fish for the Big Fish prize, you may not enter another.
    18. Teams may enter up to 5 fish. Brown Trout is the only eligible species.
    19. You may only have 5 fish in your cooler when you bring it to the weigh in. If there are more
than 5 fish, or any ineligible species, that teams entire catch will be disqualified.
    20. Minimum size will be 18 inches for Brown Trout.
    21. One point will be scored per pound of fish and an additional 5 points per each fish weighed.
    22. If a fish submitted for weigh-in is found to be smaller than 18 inches, the undersized fish will be disallowed.
    23. Team Liability: Every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Tournament Committee to
protect persons and property during the contest. However, the Committee, its judges,
sponsors, officers, directors or employees of the same will not be held responsible for the safety

agree to hold harmless Scriba Town Inn and all aforementioned groups from any liability or
    claim of damages.

  2. This last week I've started getting some adult kings out of oswego. It's still pretty slow for the most part, but I've taken two over 20lbs and a few in the teens. They're scattered. I've got them as shallow as 120, and as deep as 320. Flasher/flies have been starting to out produce spoons as of lately.

There seems to be bait in all depths, and as the thermocline starts setting up more fish will follow.

  3. I'm looking for some help or advice here. The last time I went out, I marked several, large, fish coming up from the bottom, in 350 fow, streaking past my baits, and going back down. I must have marked 30+ fish doing this. I was running baits from 85' to 30' . I tried different depths, even ran one rigger at 180 for a while. Tried spoons, flies, different colors and leader lengths, changed boat speed. Nothing seemed to trigger these fish to bite. They must have been somewhat aggressive to come from 350' to 35', but I didn't have a single release.

Any advice on how to get these streaking fish to bite would be greatly appreciated.

  4. Very tough fishing in Oswego.  Fished 100fow to 325 and marked very little.  the marks we did see were only 40' down or higher.  ended the day going 3/6.  Landed a 6lb laker, 8lb King and a 21lb King.  the big king came 90' down in 135fow,  wasn't marking anything when he hit.  hopefully we'll get some north winds soon to push the themperatures deeper.

  5. Went out Monday evening out of Oswego.  Set up in 140 fow, got the riggers in the water, and just as I was setting the first dipsy, the 60' rigger fired. Skippy hit a green dolphin Stingray.  Finished getting all the lines in the water, then the 60' rigger fired again...another skippy.  Slid out to 170 fow, and the 210' dipsy started pulling.  Ended up being about a 8lb king.  Trolled around for a while without marking anything, and started heading north.  When I hit 225fow, the 90' rigger fired. 21lb King, hit a black and silver spoon.  went all the way out to 300fow without seeing anything, so we started heading back in.  Got in to about 150fow, and the 210 dipsy fired again, this time a 22lb king.  We were only out for 4 hours, didn't mark either of the majors we took.  very little bait and even less hooks, but apparently there's fish out there.

  6. Here is my problem.  I don't eat Salmon, but I like to catch them.  Once the lake warms up, it is very difficult to revive a king and let it go.  I hate seeing a lifeless fish slowly sink to the bottom.  I'm just wondering if there is anyone out of Oswego that would want some extra fish?

    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

    ====================

By the time I was setting the 3rd rod, the first rod fired. 72' rigger green on green. Fish ran out 300+ feet of line, and then broke off. Just finished setting up my standard 5 rod spread, 2 riggers, 2 dipsy, and a copper down the middle, when a dipsy fired. Mt. Dew e-chip, Hammer fly 155' 2.5 setting. Fish tried running the boat, was straight out to the side, then ran right at me, and got off. By now I was starting to get frustrated, being 0/2, but at least I was hitting fish. Over the next 2 hrs, I only picked up a small brown and a steelie, Then just before we pulled lines, the 72' rigger fired again, green on green. 26lb King, not a bad fish to finish the day. Only wish I had more time to stay out there.
