    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

    Went out of Oswego this morning. Temperature was a constant 36 everywhere I went. I started off in front of Nine Mile. The bouys are very hard to see, barely above the surface. I trolled the whole bouy line, and there wasn't a temperature break from the plant. Temp was a constant 36. no bites, so I ran back to the harbor and trolled the mud. Picked up two browns 3-5lbs. Lost one fish, looked like a coho from the way it was jumping. Not too much debris in the lake or the harbor, some little stuff, but I didn't see any trees out there.

    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

    ====================

    The Kings are finally showing up out of Oswego. I took my father out to try and get him his first King. We were set up for about 5 min, when he got a screamer. 20min later we netted a 32.6lb King, not bad for his first Lake O. fish. Got one more about an hour later 25lbs. Both fish came off of Bugsy Spoons.

  3. I fished little sodus for perch last weekend. Between a buddy and me, we kept 50-60 fish 10-13". There wasn't much action in most of the bay, we got our fish right in front of the shoot. All of the fish were completely spawned out. I think we got them as they were returning to the lake. My recomendation would be to try in the main lake 20-30 feet of water not too far from the enterance to little sodus. I recommend using minnows about a foot off of the the bottom. Good luck.

  4. Went out 7/15 in the morning for Browns, went 3/5 plus a 9.4lb walleye. Walleye took a glow Stinger, and the browns were hitting anything green or lime colored.

    7/16 went out for the evening run. Had my 6yr old and 4yr old for crewmates. Went 2/8 on Browns, probably would have netted a few more fish, but my crew's a little unexperienced. Still a nice trip. Browns were still hitting green, and an all copper NK-28 took a couple of hits as well.

  5. Hey guys, were all out there for the same reason, but remember that were out there tryin to make a living!!! Sometimes we find that a troll in different direction works much better and it may not be the typical east west or north south that is typical for different areas!!! ALSO PLEASE DONT CUT BEHIND PEOPLE!!!!!!!!! We waved off several boats that came out of nowhere and wanted to cut behind us at 400 feet! WERE RINNING COPPER AT 600 FEET!!!!!!! Please be considerate and dont cut behind other boats. Watch what were doin for direction, it may help improve your catch too!!!

    I've never had another boat "just come out of nowhere". Were they hiding behide a tree, or maybe a large hill? It sounds to me like you need to rely a little less on your auto pilot and focus a little more on where you are going. 600ft of copper is a LOT of line, but it does catch fish. I'm not suggesting you dont use it, but it's YOUR line, and if your going to drag that much behind you, you need to be more vigilint on where you are going.

  6. 1. Make sure you have the same length of line for each bag. If one is longer it will pull different.

    2. There should be a nylon loop on the small opening of the bag. If you tie a "tag line" to this and tie the other end of the tag line off to the side of the boat, so that the small opening of the bag is just under the water. This will allow you to hold both of the bags at the same depth in the water. If one bag is running deeper because of wave action or turning, it will pull at a different angle and affect the pull on the boat. The tag line will also prevent the bags from swinging out to the side.

    I'm not sure how well I described this. But essentially you have the front and rear of your bag tied to the boat, and that keeps them fairly stable and should stabilize your pull.

    If you have any more questions, please send me you number, and I will be glad to talk to you.

    Good luck
