    Gregg- Was nice to get Neil out on the water and glad he got to get the big Brown. BTW- Pierless should be splashed this weekend.

    Thanks all - Pic of the Brown is attached. Hope everyone has a great Holiday.

    First day of fishing this year with the kids. Most fish came trolling East off the boards, but also got 2 off the rigger on spoons. Great way to kick off the season.

  4. Dale,

    Screen looked good all morning between 150 and 200. Lots of fish between 60 and 100 down which I am assuming were steelheads, but only a few big marks beween 80 and 130 down that we could not get to go. Wire sat quiet all morning as both our hits came off the riggers. Man it was nice to have a flat morning on the lake. I was beginning to forget what that was like. Good luck tomorrow. Andy

  6. Wow. I only started fishing for trout and salmon a couple of years ago. I don’t fish the pro/ams, I just fish for fun with my family and friends. Pro/ams don’t sound like much fun after reading this thread. What I do know is that I buy Tom’s products because they help me catch fish and have fun. They take hits every time we go out and I cannot say that about any of the other products I have purchased. You have brought me and my family a whole bunch of smiles when those big fish hit the deck. Thanks for the great products Tom. I truly appreciate all of your hard work and passion.

    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

    ====================

    Went 3 for 3 on Saturday and 5 for 9 on Sunday. Highlights were a 23lb and two 14lb kings. All the bigger Kings came on the wire, 360’ back running a black/purple chrome SD with a purple glow fly. Also got fish on the wire, 330 back running a glow yellow tail SD with green glow fly. Riggers had not been too productive yet, so we switched over from lures to SDs and got some small kings, steelhead and even a small laker at 110’ down on a white/blue glow SD with blue glow fly and 120’ down on a black/green chrome SD with a green glow fly. Cheaters were pretty quiet this weekend. We ended the weekend by losing a screamer of the 360’ wire. Great weekend of fishing. Andy

  8. Dale - I rigged with 2 scotty downriggers and 2 dipsey pole holders to start with. I started with gimbal mounts for the riggers, but have hard mounted them since. The gimbals were very convenient, but had a tendency to pop out on rough waters. I have an old planer mast, but have not decided how I want to mount it yet. I think the best solution would be to mount the reels to each side of the top, but I don't know how well that would work with my bimini. Andy

  10. We went out last Sunday morning and trolled out to 200' and back. We headed out on a NW troll and back SE. Ran riggers with all differnt kinds of spoons at 25' and 50' feet with cheaters and 2 dipsys with spin docs and flys out 100 and 200. No hits not much bait and only marked two fish, but it was a great day for a ride. Be back tomorrow to get at it again. We are new to the area, so kind of feeling our way around. Andy
