  1. I'll second that.thank you members of LOU,you guys helped me start from scratch. At least now I have some of the basics and the right gear. Now if you guys could put the right lure on for me,I'd be all set.thanks guys.

Hope to get to meet a bunch of you guys this weekend.Lucky to have found an observer spot.I'm really looking forward to it.

Hopefully, next year I'll be fishing against you.Good luck to all in the pro-am

  2. rough weekend, caught only one brown on sat and one brown on sun.Sat-88fow,65' on the rigger,coyote.Sun-150fow,95' on the rigger, coyote.Had a few other releases on the riggers but nothing on the wire.Fished from 80fow out to 220fow.Marked a couple down 95' over135fow but couldn't get a strike. Also had a bunch of fish dive away it looked like on the graph,I tried leads out to 40' behind the ball to no avail. Can't figure them out.

  3. just wondering if there is a big difference in hook files since I don't have one yet.since I'm just getting back into big O fishing most of my lures are new with sharp hooks, the dreamweaver hooks don't seem sharp at all.I love the ss spoons and the painting on them but seems that the hooks could be sharper.any thoughts on hook files?

  4. nice job.we had those darn bananas on board and didn't do so well until Sunday eve.when we finally figured out fish were in 100' we trolled due east between 100' and 125' and finally had rods firing.managed a 20#,10#,and an acrobatic steelhead. Two came on a coyote and the bigger one on the wire/white-green glow sd withgreen glow fly that was completely torn apart. It was tough fishing out therewith the waves for quite a while until the sun started to drop.

  5. dumb question;on the tail end of the spin doctor it comes with a ball bearing swivel with the snap end hooked on the spin doctor. How are some of you guys hooking your leader from the fly to the swivel? Are you adding a duo-loc snap or adding a split ring and snap swivel.I didn't want to add too much terminal stuff but don't want to cut my leader every time I change flies.

  6. thanks guys.I've gotta go camping at Letchworth this weekend. Are there any kings in that gorge?Maybe I'll bring the wire rods.Look forward to the reports when I get back.

  7. yea,I have two of them with silver on the back.I was reading about the gobie spoons and was curious if anyone has run the mayfly recently,I haven't but might throw one on for a while next time out.
