Thanks for the input. Last year we had real good luck with Largemouth in the bays and along the shore, it just seemed that all of the smallmouth were suspended over deep water. Couldn't get 'em to bite on anything. Quite a bit different from years past. We go around the same time every year, last year must've been an anomaly. Thanks again.

Heading up to Cape Vincent on the 11th, and was wondering if anyone is doing any good out that way? Last year at this time, the water temp was the warmest I had ever seen (68-72). And all of them were suspended waaaaay deep. Just starting to get my gear together, and was looking to see if it is following the same pattern as last year. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks. Will be heading up there this weekend. Stay just south of Carleton on the mainland (Angel Rock Cottages). Any good spots around the island this time of year? Never have done any trolling, mostly just drift for perch and cast for Smallmouth. Unfortunately the smallmouth pickins have been slim for us over the last few years. Any tips would be great.

Unfortunately travelling from Cleveland up I 81 to go to Cape Vincent it's convenient to stop on our way. Are there any other places to get Licenses and bait headin that way?
