Actually great advice. Ive done several salmon trips on my own boat and have had decent success and I still plan to do a charter when I get around to it so I can lean more. Mind you I, I would need a gang to come and share the charter fees. If one does the math its cheaper in a great many scenarios than taking or buying your own boat.

Can anyone tell me what the fishing is like this weekend at Cobourg? Id like to make the trip this afternoon and fish first thing tomorrow with my son and wondering the fish are there yet. interested in Salmon , bows, browns will anything related, I just havent gone quite this early before so hoping there is potential as we drive/trailer from Ottawa thanks Mark Mark'n Fish

Hi, Im from Ottawa and its about an hour or more shorter drive here then to cobourg where I go for Trout and salmon, so I was wondering if anyone could let me know if this area or another nearby area is recommended for thse species? Also I like to start earlier in the season if possible than what cobourg offers - ie June 24 is about the start of the season in cobourg area normally thanks
