as long as your kicker has a charging system, you don't have to do anything.
but if not, your going to want to install another battery that's deep cycle and isolate it with a perko switch. that second battery will be your electronics battery, your original battery will only be for starting your main motor. then you can charge the second when the main motor is running

Do not ground anything to an aluminum boat, there are several videos on YouTube that will explain it better than i can. run power and ground back to the battery with a ciruit breaker at the battery on the positive wire

just use a closed head rivet with some 5500 sealer. the rivet body is waterproof, and the sealer will seal the head to the hull
