  1. When under power (15-20 MPH) I get a steady flow of water under the right gunwale running off the steering and shifter cables but I can't tell where it is coming from. No water at trolling speeds. Filled the bilge with water, no sign of leaks. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  2. I just realized that my VHF handle "Shake-n-Bake " is now also used to describe a form of POISON that crystal meth addicts use to avoid the realities of life! My cousin and I started using that name years ago after watching Talladega Nights. We got a kick out of it and have grown quite fond of the name. Debating whether or not to change our handle now. Definitely do not want to be associated in any way with that poison. What to do? At least the boat is not lettered with it! Ha DEC and Coast Guardsmen might show a little more interest in us with that name! LOL

  3. Just returned from a 50 mile test run with new bearing, brakes and surge unit. Left side ice cold, right side just a hint of warmth. Checked wheel tightness when I returned home, just a hint of play. I'm thinking I should leave it alone. Any thoughts?

  4. Not sure where you launched from but if you are in the Southern Basin I would recommend trolling the shoreline around Dunhams Bay, through Assembly Point around Harris Bay on up to Pilot Knob. Most any flutter spoon or stickbait should work fine. Spread it out with planer boards and stay shallow. I'm pretty sure you will leave with a big smile if you run that route and program. Laker fishing there in the spring is first class. I'm going to miss fishing Lake George, the invasive species boat inspection program is more than I want to deal with. I hope this helps and I'd like to see a follow up report from you.

  5. Perfect timing. I'm debating whether to upgrade my surge brakes to disc or maybe go to electric. While checking my brakes out this evening I realized I blew a rear seal, probably over greased. Time for a total rebuild. Bad timing but better than breaking down on I-90 which I have done before!
