  1. Did any of you guys see the show last week on Versus where Larry Dalburg did a show on fishing live bait for Musky? He compared the Quick Strike Rig to others and even to some that he made up himself that did not work very well. The last part of the show he sewed on a sucker with no hook at all and caught a monster muskie. I don't normally use live bait, but the show was interesting.

This boat is in great shape and ready to fish. I was out on it last year. It's a great boat for the finger lakes or lake Ontario.

  3. I am not sure, but I believe that the Waneta lake water level has been lowered which should effect the depth of the channel from the launch. I work with a guy who lives on Waneta lake and he said the lake has been lowered already. I am not sure if the channel from the launch is passable after the lake is lowered. It's fairly low when the lake is at normal depths. Have you guys been out on Waneta after the lake level has been lowered? If the weather permits troutmaster45 and myself may join you guys.

    Sincerely,

  4. I fished the northend from about 11am to 3pm today. I pulled copper in 65-85 FOW and went 7 for 9 all average lake trout. I also missed a bunch of hits when I was trying to control the boat and the rod was not in my hand. Not a bad day overall, spending the day in a tee shirt fishing during mid November. I did have my PFD on also.

I hope the season lasts alittle longer.

    Sincerely,

    Georged

  5. I was away this weekend and only was able to get out for the last hour and a half of the day. I fished the north end and went 5 for 6 all average lake trout. I was pulling copper in 60-80 ft of water. I had not been out for about 10 days, but the fish were still in the same areas.

    Sincerely,

    Georged

  6. I was out 3 times this week after work for about 1.5 hours each time. I went 9 for 11 overall. 8 lakers 3 SM Bass 5# being the largest trout. Fishing on the northend has been great over the last 2 weeks. I also heard the perch have been biting well.

  7. I was assumimg Buffalo harbor was in buffalo ( Lake Erie ) it must be somewhere else. I know you are a musky fisherman, because I read this forum regularly. I fish all species of fish including musky. I would'nt limit myself to only one or two types of fish. I love the sport too much. I did visit Waneta lake about 9 times this year fishing musky for the first time. I notice you also fish there quite regularly. Maybe well cross paths there some time soon.

  8. I was out last Sunday mid day on the northend. I went 3 or 5, 2 average LT and 1 SMB. The fishing was a little slow Sunday. I was alone so I pulled copper using a Sutton 38. Ive been out on the northend least twice a week all season long. More fish are moving in to the shallower water now.
