SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS Took Friday of work and experienced the upwelling.I dont think i played my cards right but we still managed to boat 9 fish with nothing to brag about. Copper continues to work well with purple spoons. The trip Sunday was slightly better as we ventured due north of the genny and set up in 350 and worked out to 500 plus. The word was out about the upwelling because by the time we got around 500 we saw saw a slew of boats. We marked a lot of fish out there along with bait. We boated 7 fish with alittle better quality 50 feet down on the riggers and 240 copper took hits as well as 350 dipsey spinny. Heard on the radio weather was coming from Toronto so we cut short our trip. Beautiful day on the water. Cant wait to get back out. Wayne. And yeah i know the fish are much better looking than the dudes holding them

SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS Started in about 110 water and trolled out as far as 200. Found some chilly water and trolled in and out. In seemed more productive on the inside. 4 shots on the dipsey 1resulting in a teenage kings with sd and flies. the other two nice kings fired on the riggers about 70 down. The 300 copper took anice brownie which iwas going to post a picture but forgot the camera cable. May do tommorow. We didnt weigh it because we were more concerned getting it back in the water. Also boated a laker and some steelhead and of course some dink kings. I kept the large salmon because everyone likes me after i get smoking it . mmmmm delicious. I did keep what i thought was a steel head but the meat was orange not white like normal. My buddy Bill insisted it was a steelhead but Im wondering if it were a coho. Any thoughts? No one spoon seemed the man today but lemon ice dw nbk glow frog and at times purple spoons . Good to be back on the water. Wayne

SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS Not what i was looking for but still had some sucess. My buddy Jack for the first time this year and he just loves those screaming kings but was not able to find them this trip although i heard over the radio that they were having some sucsess at Sandy. We did have a 300 copper go and i thought it was a branch or something cause Jack was trying to reel in but couldnt budge it. I told him we must have a branch so i grabbed the rod and put pressure on it and low and behold the branch starts to fight. Jack we have a huge fish on and i hand the rod back. Five minutes go by and he just gets it to the copper and that was it. I would put a lot of money on to say it was a monster laker 20 plus pounds. i beleive that the spoon ripped out of his lips. Would have loved to have seen it. The spoon was an nk 28 purple. The best spoon was a dw getter done it took the rest of the hits. Better luck next time Jack.
