    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

    ====================

    Headed out in the afternoon with my nephew who had never reeled anything in off the lake. Slow start from 70' and out...a few marks, but no takers. Kept changing up and threw everything I had at them. Finally at around 7:30pm, I put a black/crinkle spinny with a green fly on my dipsie and put it 300' back on #3 setting. Couple minutes later and the rod started shaking. My nephew got on it and did a great job with this fish which ran every which way, including under the boat. At the end, it tangled in my downrigger and by the time I got it on the boat, it had 1 hook in it with NO LINE ATTACHED TO IT. Just made it.

    All in all a great night and one that my nephew won't soon forget!

    Had a pretty good evening run out of Wilson. Started out in 300 FOW, trolling 100' down. Decided to move the gear up to 60' after spotting a few marks. Trolled into 200 FOW and the screen lit up. Hit two in a row on 'old school' green spinny with a blue/green crinkly fly so I switched over all 4 rods to spinnies/flies with similar colors.

    All total, had 5 hits, boated 3. Hits on both the downriggers and dipsies out 300 on 2.5. Nothing big, but good action!

    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

    ====================

    Seemed to be good marks in the morning about 145 FOW between Wilson and Olcott...but only one hit.

    Got a nice 3 year old king out deeper within 10 minutes of resetting lines, then hit the same spot a couple more times and nothing...

    Back through 145 FOW and nothing.

    We didn't get skunked, but weren't exactly slaying them either.

    Water flipped Saturday afternoon? Dropped down 50 ft in 100 FOW and temp was high sixties!!! Changed the batteries in my probe because I thought it couldn't be true...but it was. Fished deep in 250 FOW for a while...then came back to 140 FOW - down 135. Boated a pretty nice 12 lb King. At least we didn't get skunked!
