Correction: no I don't fish for lakers in the tribs. Just Salmon and trout in general.

I'm heading up to Lake George Mid-July and am thinking of trying my hand at some Lakers and Landlocked Salmon. I am intending to use Dipsy setups. Does anyone have any tips/tricks for this lake? We will be based out of the north end of the lake.
Initially I am thinking of targeting them at 80-110 FOW based on down temp. I just have no idea on the type of dipsy and fly/spoon/plug/dodger/flasher to start with. Speed is also something I am sure i'll have to tweak. Deep(er) water fishing out of a boat for these species is new to me - In the past I have been mainly sticking to the tribs.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Matt

It looks like everything in the selling section is pretty much spoken for.
Looking for parts and pieces to make two full dipsey setups. Need Rods/Reels, etc.
Please post what you have and what you think you will need for them. Thanks!

haha, good luck on both!

Spending my bow opener in my back yard! Havn't bow hunted in 6 years, so strategy this year is to wait for a nice clean shots and try any put as many in the freezer as I have tags during bow season. I ran out of meat in Jan. last year, its pretty much all we eat besides fish!

went up to the pier to meet carpedium and do some night fishing. when I get there he says to me there may be some other guys coming too - cool I'll meet some new people. Well slimy hooks came down and some other LOU guys too. Even though it was kinda slow, we managed to hook up a couple of times and carpedium landed one on his third cast about 8:45PM. He musta been all pooped out from that and he left around 1 or 2 AM. Well me and slimy ain't afraid of fishing all night so we were in for the long haul. well all I needed was for carpe to leave and then I hook up and land a nice king about 24 lbs. Pisture to follow later. All in all it was a tad slow but there were a bunch of great guys out there and everyone cleaned up after themselves.
Hey now Rodney! That's awesome that you got some action after I left! I had been out almost every night before that for a couple weeks and it finally caught up to me. Sorry to leave you guys! When I got home I had a 102 fever and felt like death. Feeling better now though, ready to hit it again.
It was good seeing ya again Slimy Hooks

Thanks for the info! I'm really stoked.
Yeah, you can never go wrong with the smallmouth fishing around the shoreline. There is a cove about southeast of the boat launch on the other shore that harbors some largemouth as well - just have to get in there within casting distance very carefully.
