  1. Got up over the wknd to the Larry with brad and Lee via waterwolf charters with capt.Bob Walters and 1st mate Daryl.Great guys.Wind was a bit of a problem blowing bob around in a 31`cherokee,daryl had his hands full for awhile setting all the rods but but the wind was abit much and had to pull 1/2.we managed a 1/2 day before we got blown off and hung out sunday `til 11am before calling it a day-Too windy, could`nt get out to where he wanted!!Tough break for all but learned a bunch and got to meet a couple great guys who just flat out love to fish.....needless to say we got along great!!lol.Lots of laughs as well. His underwater video is awesome!!

Thanks to bob and daryl and to lee and brad for taking my $$$$ @ cards.

oh yeah...we did manage a little slime dart off a shoal around grindstone.

I`ll be going out with them again!!!

  2. Good work guys and gals...we started out trolling ourselves but quit after 1 1/2hrs.Started cast and would finish out the day that way.Had 3 blowup on my bait throughout the day with two of them going airbourne one at boatside as i lifted my lure out-that was cool.No hookups but a fine day of casting...yes i was casting!! Lure of choice for all three was the straight shooter as well!!!nice bait.

  3. Caught a fat 36"er casting a suick over the weeds this past sunday.Missed`em @ first. He blewup on the bait half it`s back outta the water so i kept jerk`n and on about the fourth jerk he hit and did back to back belly flops it was awesome.Had the couple out up from delaware that were here last year when he boated a 45 1/4" and 20min later a 39.This year cold front and was tough.Started @ 6am troling and ended casting around 345pm.Fish hit @ 3pm.Windy,rain,cloudy then calm sun and back to crap all day.On way in lost pwr in motor a shut down.Got in with trolling batt pwr. It`s at shop and i`m picking up a kicker(15hp force?).Did`nt bother me `cause i just caught a muskie casting!!Think i`ll be doing more of that!lol

  4. Get to learn release technics first-this is the most important step-handling your fish.I use 7` one piece med/hvy uglystik with cabelas depthmaster gold line counter reels.#80 suffix and #80 cortland master braid.2 reels are spooled with #30 cortland endurance mono.Leaders...#80 flouro and i also run #100 36"titanium leaders.Your more than welcome to tag along on a trip or two when i come down once these water temps drop a bit.Let me know-most of the time i`m running solo.

  5. Hey larry...with this tourney gaining steam and more anglers showing interest how about in the package you send people add a flyer on release tactics and tools.I`m sure the majority of entrants have proper tools of the trade but with the increase in prize money i`m affraid there will be some that are or will be improperly prepared.New musky hunters are great..knoweledgeable ones will be better.I would hate to see a fish bellyup that was cramed into a net unfit for a bass!!or one that was held up to long `cause they had no way to cut a hook.A set of linesman pliers are better than nothing if you don`t posses some knipex or other bolt cutters.Just a thought....i`m sure many of you would agree and come up with some more ideas.
