  2. Hey jeb...try casting out in front of smithboys on the south end, there`s anice weed edge that develops and it holds fish! Also troll around the bridge (south side)and while in that area toss a few around the red bouy(point). When passing through the 5mph zone drop a couple lines 20`back(shallow runners-6-7'drifter stalkers work for me)1 black perch one chart or firetiger this is a perfect speed and opportunity to hookup.Otherwise nitro hit it pretty good.Irwins bay(bell tower on up)and point chautauqua are good bets too.we`re heading up there the weekend after the opener.I use wildwood campground on brown rd-showers!Good luck

  3. Well we made it down there...that was pretty cool. Not used to seeing northerns NOT on the end of my line!Alot of walleyes and a few pike.Took some pics with an underwater camera hopefully they came out.Little tough holding it underwater(kinda cold) for any period of time while staddling a tree and log-we`ll see.Man it`s tough waiting for the opener.

  4. we were down there last weekend fishing from the pier and i just could`nt take it!!!!!Had some muddy water come in and i could`nt get to the edge.NOT so this weekend.5 were caught, nothing big but a report of an 18lbr was circulating a week prior. All the north was open but the launch @ the ramada was LOW.Thats the only one i know of.I`ll get in somewhere.Big toothy awaits!!!!!!

  5. Has anyone been fishing for northerns?Coming down tomorrow and heading to the north end.Any info would be great,i have`nt been in there before so it`ll be new.Put my ice gear up and uncovered the boat for some last minute pike action. Thanks in advance

  6. Thankyou for your service and welcome home!Looks as though i wont be heading out that way `til friday afternoon(birthday is today-my minds a little slow in this cold weather).Of course this all depends on the weather and favorable ice conditions.I would have been headed to silver Lake in perry. We may have to do this via mail.Do you pike fish??
