hope they find these pieces of s**t and punish them bad.they should not only lose their guide license but be banned from any kind of fishing in nys....PERIOD!!!!!!most guides for the most part are kind and courteous,politely asking if they can slip by you if you are on the bank.i would always pull my line and allow them to pass when they asked nicely.these guys give the good ones a bad name.

i have also witnessed some guide boats that would have alot of guys in the boat yelling to people they would know on shore and dropping the F-bomb like it was the only word in their vocabulary.many kids/sons are on the banks and in boats and dont need to be subjected to it.its just not necessary.

i was up to the salmon river on sun. morn.went 2 for 7 all steel on the center pin rod.all came on green or pink berkley worms.

the fish were on steroids,jumping out of the water like crazy.my best ever on the center pin, smallest was four lbs and largest about nine.my first season with the pin,i luv it!

you may wanna consider some of the imittation bait strips that are out there,such as

the big weenie brand strips.i tried his "imitator" color strip last yr. and did well with it.

not sure of the web site but you can get it off the gla.com site.

i will say that these strips are probably the closest thing you will find to the real stuff.

i havent been on this site for awhile,but thought i would chime in...late,sorry! you may wanna put wrap or two of duct tape on the arbor of the spool before spooling on wire ,so that the wire has something to bite in to.wire will have a tendancy to slip.

not sure why so many people feel that line hum is a bad thing.it has been said by many charter captains that line hum can actually draw fish into the spread.that sometimes salmon will pick up this vibration from the line hum through their lateral line and actually interpret it(or confuse it ) as a possible school of bait.

i,ve never felt that it has had a negative impact on my fishing.just a thought!

is it popssible that the clevis in front of the spinner blade is locking up on you,thus twisting the line each time the spiner blade turns? may want to check the clevis on the entire package you bought very closely . you may have just gotten a bad batch.

you may have a burr on the rod that the blade rotates on causing it to lock up.

i for one would like to see the 3 rod law pass,especially if the trout stamp law passes.why should we pay more to have to fish this species and then get LESS out of it by only getting to run two rods? the 3 rod law has my vote!

i primarily fish the Henderson harbor,ny. area of lake ontario ,but occasionally make it down south towards the mex.,oswego area for a weekend or two.

have a22ft.fiberglass Marathon boat.blue and white with a blue top .boat name is"Lady J" looking forward to spring and popping some more browns!
