    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

==================== Put in at the genny thinking with the cold surface temp along the shore was best this morning. Half a dozen people trolling the mouth, sure they were there just combat fishing has already worn a little thin this year. set up just before the ponds and the brown hit around crescent beach in ten foot.Worked across braddocks and went out to 95, mrked fish on the screen till 135 then just lakers on the bottom. Watched a charter pull a couple in behind cowbells, had no interest in that.

  2. I have a 3.7 and off the top of my head i think the therm opens at 140 or 160. If i knew what i was buying at the time i would never had bought a boat with that engine, but so be it. The way i understand it, merc mated the head of a big block ford onto there core. the problem is, everything is merc parts, making things 3 times expensive. if you look up engine rebuilds on line its about the most expensive u can have.Having a stater instead of a alternator makes things interesting also. there are interesting problems with the earlier models, iboats forum has also ben a big help with issues. The good side, (witch i bought it for) doesnt burn any gas trolling all day but can push my 20ft boat 50mph on the gps. good luck, i feel for ya :D

  3. hey long line, havnt been out early enough to run into you this year yet. That certain charter has been after my lines for a half decade. took a for letter filled very loud coversation before we got all the hooks out and returned him to the water. (opologies to any kids within earshot that morning)the wind and waves were shifting, screwing up the mudd line but it was enough so they could c somtheing to eat. alot of boats were fishing right in the mouth witch was the only place marking fish but in my opinion to muddy to get strikes. right after the pier starts was best.

  5. tuesday i ran a nk at a little under 3 mph and took 2 coho off of it on a board, wouldnt be my first choice, but it is my lucky lure and i think plain and simple the coho were would hit anything that day. well the lure looks alot better running at 3.5 mph along side the boat than at 2.5 ...i c alot of post that people have there speed under three and have a n/k listed as a top lure of the day. is this common or would i be just washing lures at the slower speed?

    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

==================== I think everyone is getting into them right now, but i think the important thing is every hookup we had was when something was going on. slowing down, speeding up, popping a line out of the down rigger, putting on a eye board, bringing in lines and having the fish hit it 2 or three times. fun day and kept enough to keep the freezer full awhile.

  7. yes they were on a boat running along side us the fist sat after opening near russles. if any one has a link to a side mount mast let me know. what i could make out of it, it seemed he hadf the single mast on each side slid into a rod holder pointed out.
